Poured from a 120z brown bottle into a pint glass.

A: Pretty average. Surprisingly clear. Decent little head.

S: Some nuts and a little bit of a toffee and leathery smell in a good way. Pretty mild though.

T: Light roasted nuts, Light roasted oats or grain, some light complexity. Malty with some sweet sugars.

M: Pretty thin for a brown ale, but I am am still getting into this style, so I may be wrong. Definitely kind of creamy which I like. Not much carbonation. Somewhat of a quaffer.

O: A fair to good beer, just not as multi-dimensional as I like in my brews. However the semi-low- ABV and easy drinking might make it a good choice for a dinner party or cookout. I might throw one in a mix-n-match 6-pack from time to time.

Brooklyn Brown Ale - my first Brooklyn beer I believe so time to judge them all by one beer! Just kidding of course...

Appearance - A low to medium brown that looks pretty standard for the style. Nothing amazing but a nice hue to it.

Smell - Hops, Nuts, and Barley. The smell is on, but missing a couple of interesting notes and it seems to go away quickly

Taste - I was hoping this would taste like it smelled but it has a lot of copper/metal taste to it. Also the nuts do come out but fade quickly

Mouthfeel - I really wanted more carbonation here and a bit less of the metal aftertaste. Not terrible but not good

Overall - This is a decent beer, and a decent brown ale. Its smooth enough to be drank by the handfuls but the aftertastes keeps me rating this one low

The beer pours a brown color with an off-white head. The aroma has some caramel and toffee malt, as well as some pine from the hops. The flavor is more of the same. I get some nice roasted malt and caramel notes up front, with a decent amount of bitterness and some piney hop notes also coming through. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
