12 oz. bottle into a shaker pint.
A--Light caramel with an orange tint. Light but not yellow. Head is one and a half fingers of creamy eggshell foam that retains moderately well but doesn't lace.
S--Honeyed mandarin oranges, some ruby red grapefruit. Not much-mostly sweet oranges. Almost marmalade-ish.
T--Same deal with the taste. Like orange marmalade on biscuits, or orange flavored butter sugar cookies. Pretty juicy malt center--I like that a lot. What I don't like is the finish--confusing blend of American hop citrics and English hop earthiness. There's mintiness, there's earth and herbals, there's grapefruit and pine and...confusion. It's bitter, but in an English way, not an American way. If you are looking for an American IPA this is not the IPA from an American brewery you want. This is a more restrained use of albeit American hops. Up front and in the middle the flavor profile is good, especially as it warms and the orange flavors get super syrupy on top of the bitterness. But that finish--whoo boy, might need some work.
M&D--Mouthfeel's fine. Nice and bubbly without being obnoxious. Drinkability? I'd have another. Not more than a couple total.
Not a bad take on the English IPA. Kind of gutsy to keep around given American drinkers' tastes these days w/r/t hops. I like the Pennant Ale better, though.

Nice english IPA of a hazy orange/ocher color that goes to a yellowish tone in the corners of the glass. Foam is ok.
Smell and taste are full of citrus, specially lemon, orange and grapefruit. Pear and apple tones also appear and that makes this beer quite juicy. Maltiness, bitterness and hoppines are at an ok level but could be higher, specially maltiness.
Body is ok too. Didn't enjoy the mouthfeel too much because of the acidity that comes in corners of the lips.
