A personal favorite that I've never taken the time to review it. One of my standby's along with Sam Adams Boston Lager, they have their similarities and differences. I love them both pretty equally.
Poured it into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint Glass that comes out a nice golden amber color with a slight golden/white colored head. The lacing was a little disappointing, I expected a little more based on the big head, it's there but not what I expected. Excellent clarity on this one. The smell is good, generously malted, well toasted malts. Well balanced because the hops are present as well, citrusy, almost creamy if that's at all possible. Taste is quite excellent, again kind of creamy. Well toasted caramelized malts. Starts off sweet and creamy then the hops come in with a slight bite. This beer is well balanced but still like a 55ish% going in favor of the malts. A very nice tasting lager, it goes after all of your taste buds. Mouthfeel is good, doesn't finish quite as clean, but it's extremely drinkable. Could very well be the quality NY water being used for this.
If it's a hot day and you're in the mood for a nice malty beer go for this, even though it's so well balanced. I could drink this year round, a solid standby.
