Appearance: Clear copper body with a modicum of CO2 beads rising through the body. Fluffy off white head has good retention and lace properties. (4.5)
Aroma: Aroma has an "English" feel to it. Not sure if English malts or yeast were used. If not, it's a definite "ghostly" presence in my mind. Flowery hops accent a toffeeish malt aroma in a fairly profound manner. (4.0)
Flavor: Malty and fairly rich. Toffeeish malt character and a ghostly buttery feel as well. Not in a diminishing way, however. Hops add some dryness but not a lot of flavor. (3.5)
Mouthfeel/Drinkability: Slick mouthfeel with a big and full body. Flavors round off nicely with a bit of bitterness and dryness lingering. Overall, a nice and flavorful lager with some pronouned malt flavor. (4.0, 4.0)
Pours a clear amber tone with caronation evident. Medium fizzy head dissipates quickly. Lovely malt aroma mixed in with nice flowery aroma accents. The beer has a nice firm body. There is a slight bitterness present. Maltiness is average. For european style pilsener, I was expecting a little bit more of a bite. This is a decent brew however.
