Pours a slightly amber/copper in appearance with a finger of of airy white foam that dissipates quickly, but leaves slightly sticky lacing.

Biscuits, caramel, roasted malt, earthy/floral, and slight notes of citrus.

Some resinous pine, citrus, and earthy hops are overpowered entirely by a sweet bready malt backbone with slight notes of roast and caramel.

Light-bodied, medium-high carbonation, soft, very mild citrusy hop bitterness, and a sweet bready and toffee-like malt backbone.

Overall, a very good lager, but nothing that puts this ahead of the pack.

This lager pours darker than expected, with a nice amber colour and quickly dissipating head. It smells good, perhaps a bit metallic, but that could have something to do with how fresh it is. It is very tasty - just enough body and sweet malt to set it apart from other lagers. The hops are not pronounced, but that is not a bad thing whatsoever. A quality lager, to be sure.

355ml bottle served in a tulip glass

Look: Quite a bit darker than I expected a lager to be, but then I'm a lousy judge as it's not really my style of choice. Clear, almost coppery with a lot of off-white head - as in, two pours to get it all in the glass. Tons of lacing.

Smell: Has that slightly fruity/resiny aroma of hops, but it's more or less overpowered by a sweet malt/yeast vibe. Hints of burnt sugar and toffee, but not much.

Taste: Slightly sweet, oddly, malt up front with hops in the aftertaste. There's a bit of hop bite, but mainly this is very much toffee/malts up front kind of beer.

Feel: Quite smooth and creamy - doesn't have the astringence that some lagers
have. It's different, I'll give it that.

Overall: Not my thing, I'm afraid - lagers in general don't do it for me, but as such things go this isn't bad. Glad I tried it, but I doubt that I'd go out of my way to have it again.
