Meadhall in Cambridge for 12 Brewers of Christmas.
A: Golden orange with a fluffy, frothy, white head that hangs around for a while. Great lace and retention. As a double IPA should look...but sexier.
S: Holy citrus! Now this is how a Double IPA should be! An Imperial in my opinion is boozier but this is crazy hopped as expected. Fruit, bubblegum, and citrus are there.
T: Whoa. WTF just happened? Still super hoppy and delicious but chili pepper snuck in there. I imagine that's intentional because it's very noticeable. Not strong but the chipotle pepper spice is there. Dry and flavorful but surprisingly spicy. The heat never overpowers.
M: Awesomely smooth and flavorful with great citrus hops and proper carbonation. Dry and bitter.
O: This is a chili IPA. It has to be. Chipotle adobo spice with hops and bitterness. Well done. Big fan.

Decent head, but minimal lace--a couple of spots. Greenish, dark gold color. A bit hazy.
Dry caramel and floral hop are the predominate aromas.
Dryish pale malt start. The biting hop and the warming alcohol come on quickly when swallowing. Long lasting aftertaste with good balance. Smooth, rich body with a dampened level of bubbles. I'd love to try this one in a flight of excellent DIPAs. I think this one would do well.
