A: Hazy golden brown. Head is way bubbly and it looks like champagne.
S: Fruity and yeasty. Hints of honey as well.
T: Fruit flavor is there. Smooth for a belgian style. Honey notes with a kick of alcohol at the end that's not overly offputing.
M: Sits very bubbly yet somewhat light.

Overall the best belgian style I've ever had, it being one of my least favorites. This one sat well with me though: the execution was excellent and this beer brought a lot to the table.

A: Pours a clear golden color into the glass with a big bubbly, almost champagne like head that turns into a sticky monster. Not sure for this type of beer if it can look any better.

S: Very yeasty at first whiff then a melange of tropical fruit. I dont know how else to describe it as the sweetness comes off very complex but not aggressive.

T: Starts off with light malt and almost a barley/wheat/grain character. The yeast is noticeable but then all of this gives way to the tropical fruit mid swig. The fruit lingers before falling off as a dry, chalky bitterness finishes things up. The end has a quick leafy herbal hop bite and almost a nutiness.

M: Feels light on the tongue but as you drink it comes across with more heft and a huge carbonation.

O: Amazingly enjoyable. It just seemed to have the right balance of light malt and complex fruitiness with a kick of hops. I am immediately seeking this one out to try again.

Brooklyn Local 1 from notes

Removed cage after bottle sat out for twenty min. Cork shot out without touching it.

A- Clear yellow pour, booming four finger soapy white head. Lacing is clingy and sticky.

S- Belgian yeast, slight lemon. Slight sweetness and alcohol in the back end.

T- Slightly yeasty, mild sweetness. Alcohol again is there but almost hidden. Slight beady aftertaste. Fairy one dimensional but still good.

M- Medium bodied, good carbonation.

O- Other than it almost killing me and scaring the hell out of fiancee I enjoyed it. It's not as top notch as the Local 2 but that is like comparing apples and oranges.

750 mL bottle poured into a goblet

Appearance - golden haze topped with great head, really substantial but simple. Little lacing.

Smell - honey, rasberries, raisins

Taste - fits perfectly into the Belgian Strong Ale category. Explosions of honey and raisins are really emphasized, while there is a clear sharpness to the drink. Awakening.

Mouthfeel - smooth, a little bitter, great level of carbonation. flavors linger, induce thought.

Overall - was really looking forward to this drink, and it has absolutely met my expectations. Flavors play with each other in your mouth, carbonation is great. Makes you think that someone took a lot of time putting this together, like a good meal or argument.
