A - Dark, black. A touch of crimson when a light is held next to the glass. Appropriate for the style. Brown, chocolate head forms. Beautiful lacing down the glass.
S - Nutty, a touch of wood. Slight vanilla masked by the forward alcohol; tinges the nose slightly. A touch of sweetness. A touch of roast. Mostly alcohol.
T - Upfront fairly mild; typical dark grain, nothing overly exciting. But then... You swallow; A rush of alcohol, vanilla, a touch of bitterness, dark roast, bourbon. Malt and hops fairly balanced leaning towards a touch if sweetness; Slight brown sugar several seconds later.
M - Full bodied, velvety. Slight carbonic sting on the tounge from use of champagne yeast. Alcohol/liquor warmth precipitate after being swallowed, leading to a moderately dry mouthfeel.
O - Complex, but lacking at the same time. I expected a little bit more as a "special release" beer, but was enjoyable none the less. I found this to be a notch or two above an excellent/outstanding Imperial Stout; not necessarily "special release" material. Good example of the style.

Brooklyn Black Ops 2012.
A Black in color, nice thick brown fluffy head. Brown sticky lace.
S chocolate, coffee, port, bourbon.
T chocolate, coffee, port, bourbon, very sweet, coconut.
M silky smooth, porty chocolate aftertaste.
O I guess I shouldn't really discuss this, due to the hush hush nature of this non-existent brew, but if it did exist I'd say it was quite a nice bourbony heavy brew that kept giving me some real port feels throughout the bottle. It was a good drink.
