Poured from 1 pt 9 0z bottle into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass. I could not find a bottle dated code.
Pale yellow in color, cloudy with lots of carbonation. Two finger creamy, white head dissipated farily quickly. Nice lacing left up and down the glass.
I smell lemons and grass. From the smell I get the idea this may be a little sweet. Can smell a hint of hops.
Tastes as it smells. First it's citrusy then comes the grass notes and a crisp hop finish. The hops are not overpowering but present. The taste of the Sorachi Ace hops are quite unique.
This is a light bodied beer with a lot of carbonation. I get a grassy after taste that is quite smooth. Fairly high abv at 7.6% but alchohol is not noticeable.
As mentioned before, this is a light bodied and very refreshing beer. Very tasty and would be/is excellent for a backyard barbeque when the weather is nice. I had mine with a medium rare cheeseburger with blue cheese crumbles and barbeque sauce, which turned out to be a fantastic pairing. At about 13.00 dollars a bottle i don't know how many more I'll actually drink. This would be great in a 6 or 4 pack.
