(Appearance) Very Nice. Straw yellow, slightly cloudy, big pillowy head with decent lacing.

(Aroma) Nice. The aroma changes quickly, early bananas, spice, slight citrus. Later the funk begins to shine, erasers, toast. In this sample the Sorachi hops didn't really shine? I assume my presumption expected limoncello, not the brewery's fault, my fault.

(Taste) Very Nice. This beer is polite and gentle, mouth feel is velvty soft and drinks without demanding attention. Carbonation is perfect. The bitterness is balanced and the malt is not lost, sweet although dry. Alcohol is wonderfully non-existance.

(Overall) I like this beer, alot! I bet Garrett Oliver never anticipated making a beer like this, thank goodness for Brooklyn gentrification.....sorry New Yorkers you deserve it and you can handle it. I would love to drink this fresh in Brooklyn!

Pours a beautiful golden orange hazy with a huge white foamy head.
Smells lemons and hop.
Tastes a lemon grass hop with that Belgian dank finish. The hop and lemon blen quite well.
Feel- this stuff goes down well. Very refreshing and crisp with that little bite.
O- Great beer. A very unique beer. Could drink several of these. Refreshing.

I've heard good things about this one in the past and I finally saw it locally.

A - Slightly cloudy bright gold. Cloudy with a good 1" pillowy white head with good lacing.

S - Initially the Belgian tart character hits but is accompanied by a lemony punch, sweet grain, and fresh dank hops. There is more Belgian phenolic character than hops but it is a nice combination.

T - Again the aroma resonates with the classic Saison character first and then the rush of lemon that is from the hops, the yeast, and acidic carbonation. Also has subtle hints of spice and grain but not the main attraction. The finish is clean to slightly sweet and a Belgian tone that is pretty tasty.

M - Light mouth-feel. Has high carbonation. The light body make this brew refreshing with a soft finish that is lemony.

Overall, this is a very good Saison with pronounced lemon flavors. Definitely not my favorite style and I have had other Belgian beers with more hops that I liked more but it is very drinkable. Not top 50 material but if you like Belgians and pale ales this is definitely worth a try.

One of my new favorite saisons. Nice lemongrass taste and smell with a lot of carbonation. Good summer beer.

750ml bottle poured into shaker pint. Gushing foamy white head towers over clear yellow liquid. Some lacing is left after it settles. Aroma is of lemons, lemongrass, hay, grass, white pepper, spice, and cracker. Taste follows with the lemon flavors dominating and cracker-dry malts coming on the finish. A light body that’s inflated by the foamy mouth-filling foam, crisp and slightly creamy texture, highly carbonated, dry finish.
