Lemon sets the tone from the bright yellow color to the nose and taste. Some bubblegum and white pepper, there is a sweet and spicy feel about the whole experience. The malt is subdued but present with a more yeast tones an light lemony hops. Really like this, maybe not love it but worth the try.

750ml corked and caged bottle marked '0822'. so it's about 2 years old

Look is a very hazy yellow, like a yellow crayon, with an orange background. Sudsy head that fades. Smell is peppery yeast, rice paper, and lots of lemon, grass, and lemongrass. Taste is crisp and buttery yeast, well water, and lemon drop tasting hops. Not too bitter. Feel is light and much less cloying than other saisons.

I like it, even with ~2 years on it.

Poured from a corked and caged bomber dated 1/7/13 (I think?) into a Jester King Funk and Sour tulip.

Appearance: Deep golden beer, with a fluffy and persistant thick off white head. Thick lacing too.

Smell: Lightly floral hops, and lots of belgian yeasty sweetness. Slightly vinous. Really nice.

Taste: Really unique floral flavors, likely from the Sorachi Ace hops. A solid belgian backbone makes this a very easily sessionable, but ultimately too light and fleeting flavor beer. A slight bready malt comes through. Next to no aftertaste, nothing lingers for long.

Mouthfeel: A light body, yet still manages to be creamy. On the lighter side of carbonation, but still substantial.

Overall: A good beer overall, and I'm glad I tried it. Perhaps this beer is better fresh, but it isn't knocking me out of the park. Prairie standard seems like a better representation of the sessionable hoppy saison style, I'll probably stick with that.

look: 3.75 | smell: 3.25 | taste: 3.25 | feel: 3.25 | overall: 3.25

Appearance: hazy honey color. 2 fingers of a foamy white head that fades slowly and leaves a bit of a lacing behind.

Smell: lemon bread and sweet lemony citrus. small amount of belgian yeast and just a little spiciness.

Taste: Lemon bread and sweet citrus. belgian yeast. The overall taste combination comes off grassy to me

Mouthfeel: sticky, too light and very dry

Overall: i like some of the tastes but the combination comes off unbalanced and grassy

Had this before and gave it a good rating so I wanted to do a full review to see where it fell. Excellent overall beer, outstanding look for a saison, will even better smell, and a very interesting, and satisfying flavor. One of my favorites and one I will revisit from time to time.
