A - Pours a somewhat thin looking honey yellow with a nice frothy head which doesn't hang around too long and slippery lacing. Looks like a lot of the more common lagers you see these days.
S - Very wheat and earthy like...very reminiscent of that new belgium smell but with a twist (perhaps that's the Local 1 yeast?). Certainly distinct and unique smelling. Very malty, not really smelling the honey in it.
T - Very earthy pale ale taste. Malts dominate the flavor. Sort of like Fat Tire crossed with Local 1, but far better than Fat Tire.
M - Pretty earthy and bitter aftertaste. Overall, pretty smooth but a bit watery for my tastes.
D - It is certainly drinkable, in fact, I could drink this one all night long and the ABV makes it aptly named for its drinkability. It could use a bit more tweaking for me to really reach for it again the next time I see it available.
Overall, a pretty average beer in my opinion. I had remembered really liking this one at a tasting I went to, but this time around, I found myself a bit under impressed. I haven't really had (or heard of) Braggot as a style so not sure if this one hits the money or misses by a mile, but as a beer as a whole, certainly worth a try to decide for yourself, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find it when Brooklyn has many other worthy offerings that are at the top of the pack.

This brew poured out as a nice golden orange color with a thin white head on top. The smell of the beer was sweet and had some other aromas coming off of it. The taste of the beer was decent. I was hoping to get a little more of the sweetness from the honey but for some reason I struggled to get any. The mouthfeel was ok, It was a little on the light side I thought. Overall not my favorite Braggot ale but I was happy to try it.

honey colored amber with no head and no lace. The color on this was simply gourgeous, I had not seen anything this shade before, quite stunning actually.
The smell was strong with alcohol straight from the start. Once you got past that, there were very subtle honey aromas and hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. A nice bready grain presence as well as grapes, pears, and a bit of fig could be detected, again though, lots of alcohol on the nose right from the start. The first impression of the taste was hot damn this is strong! Had a definate mead like feel and taste about it. Flavors were were overshadowed a bit by the alcohol. which you really needed to fight your way through. I could detect the ever so slight hint of honey, and alot of the grape flavor in it. Hints of peaches or pears could be detected as well as alot of winter like spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, etc.
