Pours a syrupy onyx with a thick, coarse-bubbled brown head. Aromas of rich ripe fruit and mocha sweetness. Light carbonation, and a sort of chewy mouthfeel. Tangy on the tongue to start, then you get a wave of baker's chocolate and roasted coffee flavors, with some caramel malty sweetness. Pleasantly astringent and raw, without being too harsh. More roasted flavors punctuate a medium-length finish. A heck of a winter seasonal--warms you right up.
