Poured into a tulip.
Pitch black, motor oil pour. 1-2 fingers of brown head. The retention is pretty impressive for the 10% abv. Extra tight lacing is left on the side of the glass.
Espresso, fudge, dark chocolate, French vanilla, roasted barley and chocolate truffle.
Follows the nose without any disappointments. Rich espresso, fudge and dark chocolate. Chocolate truffles, French vanilla and tons of roasted barley. Some lighter notes of dates and overripe plum as well as a the tiniest touch of smoke.
Full bodied, silky, oily, sticky and warming.
Big, rich and supremely decadent Imperial Stout. This still remains one of my favorite Imperial Stouts after many, many years.
