From Brooklyn and Goose Island Beer Tasting 9/15/2009:
Amber/orange in color with lacing that completely disappears.
There's a little spice on the nose which lends that pumpkin pie quality without being overwhelming or artificial.
This beer is mild in flavor. It's not terribly interesting.
The finish is watery.
It is drinkable. It's a decent session to have as an aperitif. Food would overwhelm this brew.
As I let it sit, the pumpkin ale starts to come alive. There's much more spice character and it becomes more interesting. It even develops a slight floral characteristic in the nose.
This was one of the surprises of the night.
