Served in a pint glass, poured from a 12 oz. bottle.

A - translucent orange. A little darker than what I was expecting. Head dissipates quick but leaves a good bit of lacing.

S - Straightforward. Hoppy, yeasty, light. Nothing special, but still good.

T - Light on taste too. Slightly citric and resiny, with little alcohol bite. Not powerful, but easy on the palate.

M - Fine carbonation, clean finish, little aftertaste.

D - Like most Pilsner, it's really drinkable. If you're looking to knock back quite a few, this one will do the trick.

Overall - I should try to get my light beer drinking father to try this one. It's not very complex, but it tastes enjoyable enough and is not heavy at all. A good gateway to craft beer.

Pours a darker yellow color with not as much head as expected, aroma was really grainy and hoppy with some sweetness maybe honey?Taste is pretty sharp and bitter loads of hops in here with a dry malty backbone with a a light metallic flavor in there as well. This is a pretty manly pilsner but quite good.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a beer mug.

A: Almost clear, pale gold with a nice looking foamy white head of about 1/2" or so. Head receded after a few minutes leaving a thin white layer and lots of lacing.

S: Fresh bread, some pale malt, light hops, and a hint of yeast.

T: Very well balanced light sweetness from pale malts with the nimble citrus flavored hops. The flavors are solid, staying together nicely, and remain that way from first rush to final swallow. The finish is very satisfying and relatively quick, leaving just a hint of maltiness to play with the final wave hop bittering at the very final bit of linger. I think I have a new favorite Pilsner!!

M&D: A bit more robust in the mouth than I would have expected, but not really heavy by any means. The carbonation is perfect, lending itself to a smooth creaminess that makes this brew so easy to drink. This is incredibly satisfying and tasty and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good pilsner. This will be a new regular in my rounds.

A gold color with just a hint of haziness. Medium sized white head, little bit of lacing. It had a sweet, outdoorsy aroma. Grass and flowers. Malt taste up front with some late sharp hops. Crisp beer. Easy drinking, had three of these in short order.

Presentation: 12oz brown bottle. Clearly marked freshness date.

Appearance: A clear, pale golden beer with lively carbonation. It pours with a thick white foam, but quickly collapses to a mere bubble lace covering.

Smell: Fruity, sweet, floral and grainy with a faint hint of sulfur in the nose.

Taste: A bit creamy on the palate, then sharp with a lemony bitter hop twang that rides in on a refreshing, crisp carbonation. The "twang" has grape skin-like flavours and dryness. The bitterness peaks and stays on the palate for a bit, then lends way to a firm, fruity malt character (almost exotic) with a nice level of sweetness. As the beer warms, the hop and grain flavours become a bit raw/fresh tasting and more pronounced, sticking to the palate. Finishes medium dry with grain flavours on the palate.

Notes: 4.8%abv. I thoroughly enjoyed this interpretation of a pre-Prohibition German beer. Extremely flavourful, traditional, but made unique with an American crafted hand. Highly recommended as a standard beer to stock in the fridge.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. The bottle has a best before date.

Appearance: The body has a bright golden color with very good clarity and some nice streams of fine carbonation rushing to the head. The head builds up tall and fluffy. It is bright white in color, has good retention and makes some lacing on the glass.

Smell: Its aroma has a light biscuity malt presence with some floral hops.

Taste/Mouth Feel: The flavor is very clean, crisp and very well balanced. A subtle biscuity malt mixes with a mild floral and almost fruity hops. The hops bring a pleasant bitterness and dry crispness to the finish. It has a smooth light texture with just enough carbonation to match its light to medium body.

Notes: This is a very clean and highly drinkable Pilsner and it is great on a hot summer day.

12oz brown bottle with a freshness date.

LOOK: Yellow straw, faint haze & good lacing.

SMELL: Fresh hop resin, rose water, herbal, spicy, clean grain, fresh crackers.

TASTE: Bread crust, doughy, crisp, smooth, moderate body, thick noble hop flavor, spicy, clean grain, herbal hop bitterness, dry finish.

A real good quaff, right to style and easily rivaling the more mainstream German Pilsners. The hoppiness here has won me over.

Pours a clear, light golden body with a modest white head. Medium patch lacing. Just about an ideal appearance for style.
Aroma is sweet pale malts and grassy and herbal hops. No Euroskunk sulfuric notes that I've come to associate with pilsners.
Mouthfeel is crisp and light bodied, with moderately high carbonation.
Taste is evenly balanced between pale malt sweetness and herbal hops. Nothing to jump out at you, but very crisp and enjoyable.
Solid session brew here. Very well made, and one of the better pilseners produced anywhere.

12 ounce bottle, best before date notched into label. Poured light straw and very clear. White head, dissolves to a tiny bubble film, bubbles streaming up from the bottom and some lacing left behind. Bready nose. Light bodied, crisp hoppy brew, bready, malty notes with a nice hoppy, snappy finish. Decent session brew, solid summer thirst quencher. Nicely crafted pilsner.

Appearance: clear, bright caution light yellow, 1/2 inch head, medium-high carbonation

Smell: grain, grass, and malt

Taste: grain, grass, and malt and small hops in the finish. This has a bit of the taste I associate with Abita's beers to it as well.

Mouthfeel: crisp, light, high carbonation, semi-sweet with a small bitter finish

Drinkability: A nice and hoppy pils. Not the best I have had but certainly good. I could have three or so, especially on a hot day.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Pilsner glass.

Appearance: Clear, light yellow with very active bubbles, a strong white cap and great lacing rings.

Smell: Grainy and sweet, with apple and straw, and some slight dry spiciness.

Taste: Drier (and better) than indicated by the aroma. Tart apple, straw, and peppery hops interplay very nicely.

Feel: Fairly light body with moderately high carbonation and a very dry finish.

Overall: Very nice everyday Pilsner that happens to be better than most of the competition, American or German.

12 oz bottle, with expiration date of 1/07. Pours a hazy straw color, growing gradually more clear from top to bottom--a torrent of bubbles zooming up through the center. The head is one finger and white, rather creamy and show solid retention and lacing.

The aroma consists of grain, honey, lemon, and a whisper of sulpher. The flavor offers more of the same, with some nice biting hops.

The mouth is light, yet has some character and bite, a nice dry, bitter, hoppy finish. Very drinkable, easily paired with a wide array of foods. A solid Pils.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass. Bottle says best by July 2012.

Appearance: Pours a bright and clear golden yellow with lots of rising bubbles. Solid three fingers of white head with very good retention. Lots of lacing sticking around the glass.

Smell: Lots of fairly sweet cracker like malts and wheat grains. Subtle hints of lemon zest. Has a pretty noticeable presence of grassy hops in the background. A pretty grainy and somewhat spicy aroma.

Taste: Big taste of pale bready malts and wheat grains up front. Some moderate hints of lemon zest. Also a fairly spicy presence of earthy and grassy hops. Some of the hops taste like Noble hops. A very nice hop presence for the style. Well balanced.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Very crisp and somewhat tangy. Starts fairly sweet and finishes dry.

Overall: A very nice take on a Pilsner. One of the better American versions out there. Very good hop presence.
