A - Very clear golden yellow with a 1.5-finger pillowy white head with mild lacing.
S - Rising bread, orange, light touch of pine. Pleasant.
T - Nowhere near as bready as the smell. Citrus zest and flesh forward, tea, light toasted bread, white pepper, Finishes dry with a refreshing citrus and lingering tea.
M - Light-medium body and medium carbonation. Crisp. Refreshing.
O - I enjoyed this beer. The orange zest tea element is fairly strong so I wouldn't want this all the time, but it is a refreshing alternative to a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale with elements of a Daisy Cutter Pale but with a low ABV similar to a 21st Amendment Bitter American, which I prefer over this. Perhaps the closest beer to this is Surly's Bitter Brewer, which has a similar citrus tea flavor and low (4.0%) ABV. I will definitely have this flavorful, sessionable Pale Ale again.
