A: Like a very dark reddish cola with much better head retention.

S: Sweet, dark dense fruit but not particularly strong.

T: Coffee, slight and perfect degree of sweetness, slightly bitter but overall balanced and neutral.

M: Subtly astringent, soft carbonation sting.

D: Good dark beer!

A-Caramel color, with light coffee foam color, standing most of the time.

S-Not so strong smell,chocolate maybe and coffee,caramel.

T-Very nice,again coffee aroma,low carbonation,and you could feel alcohol in it,low bitterness.

O-Very good dark lager,as it is written on the bottle,so it is not an ale,but this is one of the best dark beer in the region.

Poured form the green glass bottle into a pint glass in Ljubljana, SL.

A: Cola brown with a slight red coming though on the edges. 2 Finger tan head with good retention.

S: Strangely fruity sweet smell. Forest fruits and cherry on top of a slight caramel malt backbone. Weird but good.

T:Sweet but not quite fruity. Malt - roasted in the finish, caramel elsewhere. Solid balance.

Not quite smooth but very quaffable.

Dark ruby color, low carbonation level, majestic cappuccino head, proper lace.

Smell roasted and coffeish, rich and intriguing.

Start malty, sweet, roasty bitterness developing in the middle. Body surprisingly light. It could be fuller, thus more suitable for both aroma and flavor. Finish complex, bitterish, with a faint hoppy note. Aftertaste long, rich and very pleasant.

A decent beer (and not an ale as somebody stated). Recommended.

Bottle from some small store in Sarajevo.

A - Pours a muddy dark brown colour with a one finger beige head. Medium visible carbonation. Excellent retention with a full finger cap throughout which for a lager is quite spectacular.

S - Not too bad smelling. I was not expecting much but this is quite nice. Rich caramelly aroma.

T - Sweet dark malt. Toffee and some burnt coffee flavours. Not as nice as the aroma but pretty decent.

M - Mild carbonation with a medium body. Good stuff. Sweetish finish with a burnt coffee compliment.

D - This is a fine beer. Nothing to write home about but tasty for the style although I do not think I would call this a Brown Ale. Not overly intense but nice throughout.

First tried this beer in the bottle that I bought at a little store in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Kinda liked it, but didn't have a proper glass. So I ordered it again when I saw it on draft at a beer bar in Zagreb, Croatia. Came served in a 0.5L mug along with lunch. Light brown color, thin white head. Faint smell of roasted barley. Taste was very fine. Slight caramel and chocolate flavor. Pretty easy to drink in a large stein for a brown ale. Lasko Dark was my second favorite beer of the trip, right behind Tomislav.

Pours a good looking dark brown, almost completely black color and a small beige head with weak retention.
The aroma is pleasantly roasted with some coffee and feels slightly dusty. The taste has some roastiness and is slightly sweet (no coffee taste, I like it), turning into a bittery finish. Easy to drink and just enough taste.
Thumbs up.

got it in a local pub, in a 500 milliliters Lasko mug for 1.5 euros.

A - very dark clear beer, but yet hard to see trough to the other side of the glass. it came perfectly served in the mug with 1 finger of creamy colored and textured head.

S - strong caramel aroma with some fruits in the background.

T - very bitter, but not heavy taste and u can definitely feel the caramel from the aroma ...

M - not very carbonated and with nothing special about it ...

this is the beer that i usually drink when im off to the pubs, as long as they have it . its an awesome beer to have with friends on the hot summer night.

Now as Lasko Dark, 5.9%.
Brown-ruby pour, small white head, no traces.
Smell of roasted malts, a bit of smoke, faint dry dark fruit.
Starts with a bit of dark fruit, a bit of spice and burnt sugar, ends with some roasted grains.
Medium body and carbonation, nothing to complain about.
More like a benchmark, nothing to say against it, but also nothing to set it apart. Very nice anyway.

one of the better dark beers around here in sarajevo. less sweetness than some of the others. this one pours redish brown with a two inch foamy white head without a ton of retention. smell is sweeter english malts, brown sugar, and a flatish bready yeast. flavor is about the same, but it doesnt finish sweet, only sugary up front. no hops to speak of, but thats okay. its got a big body and mellow carbonation, but its not too filling. overall a nice change of pace from the light lager stuff that is so prevalent.
