Holy cow does this place have a selection, and I'm not talking about the wine that takes up the majority of the floor space. I'm up from Texas visiting and saw their listing here and had to stop by as none of the local shops have a decent selection of beer. Their stuff is a bit more expensive but in my opinion it is worth it to have so much to choose from. Service was excellent. They were unobtrusive but happy to answer my silly questions, and give a couple of recommendations. The choices were so many I had a hard time deciding, but I walked out with enough to keep me in good spirits for some time.

Fairly big store catering to wine and spirits. They did have a big and varied selection of craft and imports. Lots of cold storage for beers. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Prices were high to average. Not the easier place to get to, but worth it if you're close.

Has a good selection of beer. I was able to find some rare Avery bottles (cost a pretty penny). Large building and the staff were nice enough. Probably the best place to get packaged beer in Indy, along with Total Wine and More.

Visited with my wife on a recent trip to Indianapolis. We came here on our drive back home, before hitting Bell’s Brewery in Kalamazoo.

Beer selection was gargantuan, and they also had a decent range of glassware available. The wine suitcase for a mere $259 made for a good laugh.

I scored a bunch of Three Floyds Space Station Middle Finger, Backmasking Oatmeal Stout, Yum Yum ASA, and Alpha King APA, and left a happy camper as a result. Beer prices were fair IMO.

Overall, I can see why this place is highly rated, as we were very impressed with the selection here.

Absolute banger of a place to buy craft beer in Indy. I drive up from Cincy once or twice a year to fill my car with all the Chicago area stuff I can't get. Until I can get Burn Em in Ohio, I'll keep coming back.

What a wondeful beer store! I stopped in at Kahns on my way to a business meeting. A very good selection of single bottles and 6 packs, not to mention liquor. A very nice young lady was extremely helpful explaining the layout of the store. She came back around after 5 mins to ask me what styles of beer I liked and guided me to some of her favorites in those styles. I wish someone like her was at all beer stores. Picked up some 3 Floyds, BA Narwhal, and other beers I have never seen or heard before. If your passing through, this is a must stop!

Large shop boasting a pleasant atmosphere and an exhaustive selection of domestic and imported craft beers, including many Indiana-brewed beers. There is also a good selection of glassware and other wine- and beer-related merchandise. Located only minutes from I-70, well worth a side trip if you're passing through Indy.

Often for selection I have to put up with a place that feels like a hole in the wall with super crowded shelves, but Kahn's is clean, brightly lit, and the shelves aren't packed so close together you're worried about knocking something off a shelf by turning around. The staff is helpful and don't hover but do inquire if you need help from time to time and the selection is fairly decent though not mind blowing. Also importantly the beer is reasonably fresh, I have yet to find out of code beer (though it's not like I've checked every bottle) and combined with a fair amount of cooler space means I don't worry about finding some 3 year old sixer of pils on a back shelf.

It's my go to store when I want to get something more elusive than I can find at the local Meijer or Kroger. I'm quite the fan.

Great selections of beers here with many quality events and tastings. I appreciate their efforts on social media, announcing new arrivals and restocks. One complaint is that they seem to hold things back for favorite customers at the expense of others. I rushed over once after they announced on twitter the arrival of a special release. I was there in about 45 minutes but was told I missed it by 15 minutes (no problem). Frustratingly, 2 guys walked in 10 minutes later and each received 2 bottles out of the back. Guess I didn't know the secret handshake.

Personally I don't use BA very much, but I do like good beer. Kahn's without a doubt is the best beer/wine store I have found in Indiana in the 12 plus years I have lived here. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I recently attending their GI Bourbon County release and even though the turnout was much higher that expected, and the supply of beer was down, they did a wonderful job of meeting the needs of the vast majority of people that made the journey. Kudos to Jim, Al, Will, Paul and the rest for pulling this off.

I will go better than best store in Indy this may be the best store in the state.

As others have said or atleast im guessing they have, if Indiana gets it Kahn's is gonna have it.
If its a very limited release your best chance at getting it is probably gonna be here.

The Staff is great all very friendly and some of the most craft beer, wine, and spirit educated people you are gonna find here..build a relationship with these guys and you wont regret it! and you may get a nice surprise every now and then!

Best beer store I've been to in Indy.

Selection is great. From local micro to global imports, a very wide selection. If it is available in Indiana, these guys are getting it.

Nice and clean. Very large selection, not only of beer, but also wine, liquor, cheese, etc.

Wine and beer tasting available on certain days.

A small cracker, relish, and cheese selection. Not a restaurant.

There are knowledgable employees waiting to answer your questions or help you find something. The guys patrolling the beer section are constantly, and I mean that literally, re-stocking every beer they have. They know when beers are due for release, what's new and just in, and will have several great suggestions based on your preferences.

If you are in the Indy area and looking for good beer, this should be your first stop.

Kahn's is great. Nice big store with great lighting and a wide varity of craft beers. Al keeps the selection nicely currated. They do a great job of letting beer nerds know when something exciting is coming in and if they sell out (which the tend to do quickly on excellent stuff).

They organize beer tastings throughout the year that are fun and educational. These usually include a raffle with the opportunity to buy some had to find beers.

Great people, great selection...happy to spend my money here.
