Pours black with a moderate light tan head . lots of coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Watery mouthfeel with lots of roasted malt, some chocolate, and burnt coffee notes, and I get a slight alcohol finish. A nice offering.Very drinkable.

This beer was on nitro-tap, so I feel the review will be unfairly skewed from what this beer normally is. I don't think the ability to review different serving types for the same beer should have been taken away.
It looks very similar to nitro Guinness which, for the beer, is its best aspect. It's dark brown with a fantastically creamy tan head one finger tall that leaves equally creamy lace in a big sheet from the top of the glass to the bottom.
A slight note of dark fruits sits in with roast, a bit light but pleasant with a very soft note of barley-like grains and a hint of vanilla. More strength would improve a very pleasant smell.
Along with roast, the taste is sweet, creamy and milky, a real pleasure to drink, but the best thing going for the flavor is what's added by the mouthfeel.
Speaking of, there's just such a creamy smoothness to this beer. The nitro really adds a lot, and it works very, very well. This beer flows so smoothly, it's so silky and velvety. On nitro-tap, the only thing better would be a touch more body, as it is a stout.
