Best before May.
Pours out a hazy golden straw and sits a foggy golden amber in the glass. Came equipped with a monstrous creamy, slightly off-white head that took up half the glass, this is from a slow and gentle pour. I don't know if I should say this is good or bad. Couldn't fit the 12 ounces into my 20 oz glass. Needless to say, my glass became coated in white strands of lace.
Aroma is nice and fruity with soft hints of oranges, pears and nectarines. Sugary dough-like breadiness. Tea-like aromatcs, with some green, leafy notes.
Tastes lighly sweet up front, with hints of apples, pear and dry, dusty orange peel. Some mild caramel flavor. Green, grassy hop flavors are balanced and relatively uninteresting. Finishes with good bitterness, lingering dusty fruit flavors and some yeasty splotchings in the back.
Crisp in the mouth with highly active carbonation working to fill you up with gas. Medium-light in body and moderately refreshing.
Not bad, just weird. Acts like a Trappist ale, but has the heart of a pale ale. Needs work, IMO.

Poured into a perfect pint.
2.5 A: Very lightly hazed yellow orange color. Two fingers of foamy white head. Retention is poor and scant lacing is left.
3.5 S: Wow this is skunky. Not skunky as in it got skunked by light, but rather it smells like woodland creatures with skunk being the most apparent. Mineral, floral and earthy hops, light caramel, and a touch of breadiness round this out.
3.0 T: While the skunkiness worked in the nose, it's not so great in the taste. It's like chewing on woodchips if the wood taste was taken out(, ya I don't know what I mean either). Grainy malts with just a hint of toastiness. Floral and earthy hops. Light caramel and breadiness. Mineral woodchip creatures.
3.0 M: Lighter medium body. A bit overcarbonated as it "blows up" in the mouth a bit. Could use some more creaminess as well.
3.0 D: It's not necessarily bad, but it's weird. Some might love it and probably more will hate it. Either way, I was glad to try it.
