Appearance: Hazy murky tannish-copper brown beer. Nice rocky retentive head.
Aroma: Malty but still heavily influenced by citrus aromas. There are hints of sweet caramel that show through.
Taste: There is a bit of metal flavor that comes through in my initial sip. The hops and malt seem to balance fairly well, but this doesn't seem to be a hop monster or anything like that. The mouthfeel is fine and the finish is a bit sweeter than expected from an ipa (not to mention a double ipa).
Notes: This isn't a bad beer, but it wasn't one of my favorites. I don't know the date of this beer, but I only bought it a week before I tried it. It seems like maybe it could be better if it were a fresh bottle.
