Poured into pint glass from a height of 12"+/- in an attempt to creat some head. Although my efforts largely failed some space lacing on the glass remained throughout my enjoyment of this beverage.
The nose smeled citrusy, perhaps like grapefruit.
Mouth feel is unremarkably standard but not in a bad way.
The taste is hard to place for me. It's definable citrus but beyond that is for you to decide.
Overall I am enjoying this double IPA and the 9% ABV

This poured out as a golden copper color with some orange highlights in it. The smell of the beer is hoppy, it's got lots of citrus and piney notes to it on the nose. The taste is slightly sweet upfront with a floral bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel of the beer was nice, higher carbonation level with a dry tingling sensation in the back end. Overall it's an impressive IPA and I would drink this one again is I came across it.

on tap at devils den in philly
Pours a hazed copper color with a pretty thick beige head resting on top. Retains nicely leaving some patchy lacing on the glass.
Hoppy and piny in the nose with some sticky resin. Touches of citrus peel and some bready malted sweetness. Hints of caramel with some alcohol heat.
Bitter and piny up front with a touch of abrasiveness. Orange and grapefruit citrus flavor in the middle. The malt backbone is fairly thick with some bread and caramel. Decent amount of sweetness towards the finish with lingering alcohol heat.
Medium body, decent carbonation, sticky and lingering on the tongue. An alright DIPA but not super balanced and easily lost in the crowd.

On-tap, served in a tulip
An orange body, slightly hazy, with a two finger ecru cap. The head fell rather slowly and left some rings of lace around the glass.
The aroma was more balanced than I anticipated from the description on the bar menu. Pithy grapefruit, oranges, and sturdy toasted malt propping up a large amount of hops.
The flavor profile is sweet up front, with oranges and caramel hitting you first. Perfumey hops and toasted malt carry through the middle before a rush of juicy, bittersweet grapefruit and orange sweep in for the finish.
Medium bodied, chewy profile. Carbonation is on point.
This is a nice, well-balanced dipa. The hops definitely poke through and win the battle with the malt, but the malt is extremely sturdy.

12 ounce bottle into tulip, bottled 11/15/2011. Pours very hazy golden orange color with a nice 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention that reduces to a thin cap that lasts. Some spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, orange, pine, herbal, floral, pineapple, caramel, biscuit, and a touch of alcohol. Some pretty nice aromas with good balance. Taste of big pine, grapefruit, orange, herbal spiciness, honey, biscuit, caramel, and pineapple. Good amount of bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, pine, herbal, caramel, honey, and biscuit on the finish for a bit. Nice balance of bitterness and sweetness. Medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a fairly creamy and slightly slick mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming after the finish. Smooth to drink at 9%, but is still a bit of a sipper. Overall this is a very nice DIPA. Nice hoppy flavors; with good balance and smoothness.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a wine goblet.
Color of deep apricot, with a rather short head of bright white foam.
Aroma-Big whiff of herbal hops and not quite sure what else. Hemp? Green pepper? A bit confusing.
Taste-Dank, rough, harsh hops. Off-putting onions and garlic flavor in the finish. Not sure on the age of this bottle . My guess is that it is not fresh. This review stands until I can be sure of a fresh sample or a freshness date.

A: golden straw with a slight orange, large head that becomes nice lacing and sticks to the sides with each sip.
S: orange, pine, sweet malt, and slight alcohol
T: lot of alcohol in the taste, but before that hits I get some fruity taste. It's almost belgian-like. Good hop bitterness to take away the sweetness of the malt. A bit of garlic or onion on the end - I'm guessing this is a bit older, but I don't have a date on this bottle.
M: excellent hoppiness and carbonation make it crisp even though it's a medium to medium-heavy bodied beer.
O: solid overall, but I wish it were fresher. Unless this is it...I'll have to try it some other time. Price was $4 or so per bottle at an expensive shop.

Poured from a 12 oz with no date code of any kind.
A: pours a dark orange amber color which is opaque in my golden monkey tulip. Nice white head leaves minimal lacing after fading into a thin layer.
S: aroma is very hoppy with pine and citrus taking the forefront. There is also the unpleasant aroma of garlic which I think is from summit hops.
T: taste follows the nose with powerful pine resin hops along with the garlic. Orange-y citrus flavors are present. A biscuit flavor is there if you search for it.
M: this is a full bodied well balanced DIPA. Carbonation is perhaps a hair on the high side. Alcohol is very well hidden.
O: a well crafted DIPA. If not for the garlic flavor/aroma I would have really enjoyed it, but it was quite overpowering and unpleasant.

Bottle from The Wine Seller in A2. Pours cloudy yellow, creamy white head on top. Smell of pine hops and not much else, a little dusty and funky, with no malt presence in the aroma. Taste is extremely muddled and fails to hide any alcohol flavor, some dusty old hops, very little malt backbone as far as I can tell with no influence on the taste. Chewy mouthfeel and sort of flat. Wondering if I got an old/compromised bottle. This was not good.

Bottle to tulip. Looks good; a deep, opaque burnt-orange. Smells good too; floral and citrus. Taste is decent, but not anything special. Could be an old bottle though. Pretty bitter, and not in the most pleasant way. Mouthfeel suffers from the bitterness on the palate too. Overall, pretty overpriced for what it is (which usually isn't the case with Arcadia).
