Pours a dark amber-orange color with a quickly dispersing white head. The beer looks and pours quite thick. The aroma is very hoppy, full of citrus and pine. The first sip hits you with a pretty sharp bite - very warm and spicy. Big mix of peppercorns, spices, and heavy, dank, hop resin. Slight rubbing alcohol aroma comes out as the beer continues. Some sweeter malts come out at the finish along with more citrus, but the beer leaves a very bitter taste on the tongue. Medium carbonation, and a thick, gritty body.

Very harsh, even for a 9% ABV, the "alcohol" taste is too prominent. Very "spicy" and not so much smooth. Gets worse as the beer gets warmer. I was slightly disappointed in this one, I had much higher expectations. Not my tastes.

The beer has an orange amber color and is hazy, there is some sediment in the beer. A small white head was produced, fsading to a collar.
Aroma is much hops of course, in the floral, resiny style. Some malts and alcohol too.
Standard sweet caramel malts set the stage for the hops though abit under performing in my opinion. The hops have sutle floral and resin notes and one can pick out hints of grapefruit too. But the flavors are weak or washed out a tad.
To me this is just an average beer, especially in the overloaded DIPA catagory.

12oz bottle from Beer Baron (Detroit, MI). 14.99/ 6 pack. No bottling info. Served in a Red Brick snifter.

Pours orange tinged but clear gold with about 2 fingers head and leaves nice thick patches of lacing.

Smells like dank hops. Onion, garlic, sock and cat piss along with grapefruit and sweet tarts. That may not sound inviting but it's actually a pleasantly intriguing blend.

Taste is dominated by those dank hops. Bold sour garlic and onion hoppyness leads. Bitter citrusy grapefruit is in there too. It's a bit one sided but it hides the alcohol and tastes pretty good.

Medium full feel with light carbonation. Long dry sour bitter aftertase with a faint alcohol "cooling" effect.

A bit of marketing drew my attention to this one at the store, comparing it's self to Hopslam. Not even close. This is more along the lines of a Devil Dancer with it's sour dank hops (without getting quite as intense). I won't have a problem finishig off the 4 pack and I wouldn't mind trying it on tap but it was ultimately lacking something special to make it great.

Orange amber in color, minimal white head and lacing. Well carbonated. Poured from bottle dated 2/20/12 from whole foods.

Orange rind, caramel aroma. No hints of pine, floral or complexity.

Taste is disappointing. It's hoppy but in an earthy way though has a good malt backbone. Its very bitter but complexity is underwhelming.

Mouthfeel is medium, finishes very clean.

Overall disappointed in this one. Much better options available. Perhaps I had a bad bottle. See what the rest of the 4 pack holds and change the review.
