Poured into a pint glass. It has an attractive orangish hue with visible bubbles rising to the top. The impressive, fluffy off-white head retains pretty well. Leaves foamy lacing behind.
Smells like your standard pale ale, but with the slightest hint of citrusy fruit in the background.
Taste is pretty nice, with that extra bit of spiciness on the front, which I guess may have to do with the Rye used in the brewing process. There's also a little sourness and citrus in there, towards the middle, and on the end, you're left with a bitter, dryness. The mouthfeel is a bit prickly, and maybe a bit thicker than expected, but not enough so to detract from its drinkability.
Overall, I like it. It has just that little something to distinguish it from a normal IPA. I think I should try to seek out some more RyePA's so that I have something to compare this to.

Bright yellow in color with a little haze. About a inch of foam on a moderate pour.
Bright tropical fruit scent. As it warms, yeasty scent becomes noticeable.
Predominant taste is resin. In fact, it's rather one dimensional.
For all the foam and lacing, the mouthfeel is very thin and watery.
I think the beer would benefit from a little sweetness. It's drinkable, not interesting enough to drink more than one.
