I did a quick MI brewery tour on my way to Founders KBS Day, and we stopped at Arcadia second.
The Atmosphere is nice. It's in the middle of downtown Battle Creek, and it has a nice, spacious layout that reminds me more of a Rock Bottom than it does your standard brewpub. It's fairly large.
The Quality was solid. There was nothing that stood out in the beer menu, and the food looked pretty good.
The Service was as you'd expect. Friendly, helpful, and timely. No complaints.
The Selection was solid as well. LIke I said, nothing that stood out, but a good handful of their beers, and the menu had a nice selection of food as well.
We did not order any food, so I cannot comment on the potential deliciousness.
I enjoyed my visit here, but ultimately there was nothing that stood out and would bring me back.

dropped in for a quick pint. The bartender was very knowledgeable and helped me choose a beer that fit my palate on this particular day. They had plenty of beers on tap that they stage in tiers based on how expensive they are (allegedly to make, not how expensive they are to buy). Tried the Hop Mouth IIPA and found it really good. Tasted it against the Black IIPA and found it considerably better. Bought a couple of pint glasses and a t-shirt too. Great experience overall and I would to come back when I could try a couple of other beers.

A good variety of food from platters to pizza and sandwiches. Dry rub barbeque meat that is slow cooked in a brick oven. Noisy when crowded and sound echos when quite because of the high ceilings and old hardwood floors. I had the Cereal Killer and Stout the last visit and the bar keep gave me a taste of the Loch Down Scotch Ale just before I was leaving. Not disappointed in any of them. The sandwich I liked the best is their twist on the Cuban. Pulled pork with a sweet pepper relish.

This is my second attempt at visiting Arcadia. Last year on my way through they were closed for remodeling. This attempt was a success. I rolled into Battle Creek around 3:30pm EDT on a Tuesday afternoon. I entered and peered to the right where there was some cans of beer stacked for sale. There was also a giant glass cooler with the brewery's output of beer. To the far left was a wood fired pizza oven. I passed through the dining area and bellied up to the bar. The bar was a little less than half full.
I tried four of the beers listed on the chalkboard, Allymon, The Big Finish, a nut brown ale, and Hopmouth on cask with citra nugget hops. I liked the fact that they had 10 ounce pours so I could get a decent sample of these beers. They also had pints, and I believe a larger size. The beers were separated into tiers with Tier 1 being the cheapest beers and Tier 3 being the most expensive. I found the prices to be reasonable. I also happened to be there during happy hour which meant $1 off the listed price.
I ordered an appetizer. It was called Devils on Horseback. It was dates with some type of pepper cream cheese wrapped with bacon and dipped in a honey Worcestershire sauce. It was fantastic! I would go back just to have this again. I ordered another appetizer that was a lamb roll. It was skimpy on the lamb but good.
The bartender was not overly friendly, but she was adequate and answered the few questions that I had. I chatted with a regular who recommended the Allymon. The beers were decent, but nothing was great. I have had most of the bottled beers from Arcadia, so I was happy with the selection of different beers at the pub.
Overall, I enjoyed my visit. I absolutely loved the Devils on Horseback, and the beer was pretty good. It seems to be in a decent area. Plus it makes a great stop between Marshall and Kalamazoo.

Tried all the Specialty Ales and not impressed. They should stick to the basics.
ESB seams like a Pale Ale
IPA Week is one ever
Hop Mouth just bitter
Loch Down Week Scotch Ale
B-Craft It is a Pale that looks black
Great people with great service but poor beer.

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago. Food and beer were both great. We sat along the wall that divides the restaurant from the brewing side of the building so we were able to see what was going on over there was well. Service was not terribly friendly, but was quick. Definitely worth checking out!

Pretty standard brewpub feel. Beer selection broken into "tiers" much like Founders. Haven't had a ton from Arcadia, so I opted for a sampler of Brigid's Irish Red, Loch Ness, Whitsun, IPA, and the 16th Anniversary. All were solidly above average, but wouldn't classify any as mind-blowing. Also had a pizza that was delicious. Total price for the sampler and a pizza was about $20, not too bad overall. Service was just average - waitress wasn't too helpful but was there enough. If there weren't the other stellar MI breweries to compare it to, it would have probably come off much better, but in comparison, it's just average.

stopped in for lunch saturday mid afternoon. brewery is located on a desolate, almost vacant downtown street which clearly punctuates battle creek’s current economic woes. brewery/pub is an expansive space: industrial feel but w. lower ceilings, exposed brick oven/kitchen space. service is young, naive, and unprofessional. food is OK. but the bacon wrapped figs w. goat cheese are very tasty. sampled starboard stout, sky high rye, hopmouth double IPA, and loch down, b-craft, and brigid's irish red. in my opinion, the irish red was solid - but the other beers were really lackluster/average.

Made a quick stop for a beer on our way from Bell's to Dark Horse in preparation for 4 Elf 2012.
The bar and restaurant were fairly busy. Most of the tables were occupied. It had a pizza type smell in the dining room. Appears to me to be an older place, with a long bar that kind of slithers the length of the dining room, with booths behind and small tables behind it. They have about 8-10 beers on tap. The bar is a formica counter top, maybe something you'd see in a trailer or mobile home from 1978 or so.
They did not have the BBBW or BB Imperial Stout in bottles, which was part of the reason why we stopped, hoping to score a couple bottles of each. We had a quick beer on tap, and decided to press on. The bartender wasn't unfriendly, but you could tell he was busy and didn't really pay us any attention, until we started talking about the bottles of BA stuff they didn't have. He explained to us they were having some label issues, but they had the XV and 15 for sale...I had heard of the beers, but hadn't been able to try them, so we bought two of each, and he threw in a glass for us being beer geeks and travelling from the U.P. to stop at their place. I appreciated that.
Overall, it was a great experience. I'd like to go back sometime and chill out and have some lunch, but the first stop was positive enough for me to stop and try some food and enjoy this place again.

The beer was great, the food was good, the service was bad. So overall a pretty typical craft brewery visit. The atmosphere was cool, large windows overlook their brewing operation, fairly large bar, converted doors being used as tables. Small kitchen with wood fire pizza set up. The only down fall was the bartender, she was pretty much nonexistent. I had to wait for forever to get a food menu, once I finally got one I had to share it with the people next to me, because apparently the bar tender never brought them their menus. I only had one pint because it sat empty for 20 minutes before I seen the bartender again, I was afraid if i asked for anther drink i'd have to wait an hour to receive it.
However, if your a craft beer fan its wroth a stop if your in the area. But, nothing I would make a special trip for.
