On-tap at Tustin
A: The beer pours an incredibly pale yellow color with a thin and short lived white head.
S: Not a great nose. Straw, corn, and apple juice are the big aromas to this one. There is a bit of grassy hop aroma and, strangely, a bit of sweet banana. A mild malt and bread aroma is there too.
T: The flavor is more of the same. Decently bready with a light maltiness. Lots of grassy hops, corn, and straw with a fairly aggressive bitterness on the finish. The flavor is lightly watery, as well.
M: Light in body with a rather high level of carbonation.
O: The bitterness is just too harsh and strong for such a light beer.

What's this? A locally brewed lager? Well, I guess I'm a haveta try it. On to the beer:
A little paler that yellow in color, with a good lasting head and good lacing it gives in the glass. Looks like a pilsner...smells like one as well. Big, sweet grassy aroma packs a punch to the nose. Ok, maybe a touch sloppy at times. Anyway, there's a large presence of pale malt sweetness to taste. There are lemongrass notes to be tasted, and some bitterness which really builds up in the back of the palate. In the aftertaste, dry biscuit perfumes in the mouth. It's light in the mouth with little carbonation...I would liked even just a little for this style.
Respectable. A solid lager from the brewcrew of Tustin.
