The first I.P.A. available throughout Rhode Island since Ballantine I.P.A. The most bitter of the Pale Ale family, India Pale Ales malty flavor is accented by fruity aromas, a dry bitter finish and bright copper color. Unfiltered.

On tap. Pours a dark amber color with a thin head. Fair amount of lacing. Aroma is of sweet pine. Maybe some brown sugar. Flavor is more of that sweet pine taste. Nice bitter finish. Good amount of carbonation. A bit floral. Overall, its a decent Ipa, and I'd order it again.

On tap at the source.
Lightly hazy deep amber color with a decent sized off white head that persists. Rich bready toasty maltiness with some diacetyl but not nearly as bad as the Long cast.

Nice Cooper appearance with off white head with lacing. Grapefruity, malty aroma. Bitter and biscuity backbone not to be outstinef by English hops and grapefruit peel. This is a medium bodied IPA that's pretty mild. A good, drinkable brew that isn't outstanding but still gives a solid showing.

In terms of aroma and flavor, this brew doesn't offer anything that many other IPAs provide, and in much greater quantities and at higher quality.
There is very little to the aroma past dry biscuit and some grapefruit peel. Even less is delivered to the palate, although it is bracingly bitter.
Feel is by far the best attribute: it's medium-light, drinkable, lively, dry, and refreshing.
