on tap in pint glass.
Hazy golden color with some red to it. Thin head.
S- Like marmalade, very sweet.
T- Sweet and jammy. Very intense strawberry. Belgian yeast notes come through strong to counter. Tasty.
M- Thick, heavy, sweet, flavorful. Intense. Alcohol is moderately hot.
O- I like this one for sure, always worth a pour.

Had this one at the ACBF 2010. I wanted to try this basically because of the ABV on it. The color of the beer was copper, the aroma had some strawberry in it but it wasn't anything like a lambic would. The flavor of the beer was pretty strong with alcohol and a hint of strawberry in the background. I was hoping for a little more of the fruit to be there. The mouthfeel was drinkable and not overly carbonated. Had I know that this was retired I may have had a few more samples of it.

On-tap 6/29/08 at the brewpub, served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a dark reddish gold color, with a short off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is of strawberries, Belgian yeast, light malts and some hops.
T: The taste starts out full of Belgian yeast and a hearty malt character. There's a decent hops presence and a strong alcohol burn that creeps up on you. The strawberry flavor seems to just dwell in the background which is a good thing.
M: Smooth and crisp, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
D: Tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, very strong kick, good representation of style with a twist to it. This is a nice high-octane beer to drink one or two of if you want something different.
