Anything the LCBO buys tends to be reasonably priced because they are the largest buyers on the globe. The best selection of all this government chain are Wilson, Summerhill and Cooper street. THis is nicely organized and clean, but busy, in front of a subway and not accessible to parking etc. as the others above. In fact when I went today the seasonals were hardly there. Wilson makes an effort to stock up on these as well as all the microbreweries they can get their hands on, and is convenient at the 401 and the Allen Expressway.

Kind of an ordinary LCBO, expected it to be done up more but looked pretty plain. They have most of what's available to them in stock, even singles of beers usually sold in packs. Best looking LCBO is still the one in Ottawa IMO.

This is hard to judge as it is government owned and controlled, and that makes for a strange place.
Multiple around town, and some are better than others for no apparent reason.
Some good beers lost in there, but a lot of junk too. Very disorganized, and you have to look through everything. Germans galore, some belgians, a lot of locals. No Unibroues though.
Nobody in the store knows anything about beer, as I was trying to get some advice on local stuff. Price is ridiculously expensive, at least compring to US.
Still bought and tried a few locals.

Since I live about a 5 minute walk away from it, this is my local LCBO. The selection isn't as good as Summerhill, or Cooper St., but they do have a decent selection for having such a tiny beer section. The big fridge with 40's and Holsten can caters to the local homeless crowd, but they do have decent 6 packs of good micro's, can usually find all the Wellingtons, Unibroue 6 packs, and all of the seasonal release beers. I find the service here is a bit better, since I think they're used to dealing with difficult people, if you act normal you get treated nicely.

Selection is slightly above that of the average LCBO, but that's because it's downtown. Really nothing special here. They typically have one refridgerated wall dedicated to seasonal beers (last time I was there it was mostly big stouts and porters and winter beers, which was kinda nice). Service is non-existant -- employees are usually busy watching the gang members and homeless guys to make sure they don't steal anything or stab one another. Last time there was almost a fight behind me in line. This is the only LCBO I've been in with a full-time security guard at the door.

I only go here when I happen to be walking a buy and I get that beer-shopping itch. Parking in the area is expensive, whereas it's free at both Summerhill and Cooper St., both of which I'd recommend over this one. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the 'third-ranked' LCBO in Toronto for selection, which is sort of sad. Oh well.

Warning for those not from Ontario - this review is relative to other LCBO outlets, not beer stores in other provinces/states.

This is the local LCBO that I frequent most often. Though it doesn't have the greatest selection, it's definitely serviceable. Sixes of Wellington, Mill Street, and Amsterdam are always available. Fair selection of European imports, with a focus on Eastern Block lagers. Fullers, Chimay, and a small selection of imports from around the world are also available. Regular US selections are pretty much limited to Anchor Steam and Liberty. This store gets a decent stock of seasonal releases, including gift packs in the holiday season. Service in the beer section is lacking, but that's hardly a surprise at the LCBO when their focus is wine. Most of the beer is stored at room temperature, but at least there's no natural light and it stays relatively cool year round. Compared to other LCBO outlets, this one is a little above average and prices are all standardized with the other LCBO stores.
