Our latest effort to emulate the hallowed beers of Europe we love so much. Starting much the same as our flagship Gil’s Pils, GLINT was built on a base of 100% floor malted Bohemian Pilsner malt, assertively hopped in the kettle and whirlpool with Czech Saaz and Kazbek hops to 40 IBU and conditioned for a brief fortnight. GLINT drinks with bright, gentle bitterness, and the slightest hint of doughy yeast character; dry, pleasing, topped with that good whip you’ve come to know and love from Lua snappy bois.

Poured a clear, dark brown color in the paper cup; thick, frothy, tan colored head, long-lasting. Fantastic notes of dark roasted grains and charred caramel. Sweet, rich, dark grain flavors; milk chocolate; a hint of cinnamon and anise; well-masked booze yet still noticeable. Heavy body; silky and slick on the palate.
I've been waiting for nearly 16 years to get my hands on Real Ale beers again. This beer was part of a sampler six pack of black quads, Scotch ales, and Russian imperial stouts. This stout is solid and very satisfying.

Dark oily black with a surprising amount of caramel head, like 2 fingers in a tulip glass
Chocolate nose, not super strong
Taste has a little light coffee, some chocolate, slightly bitter, almost underlying hoppy
Mouthfeel is thin, especially for an imperial stout. 9.8% alcohol is well hidden, this drinks like a beer half the strength

12oz bottle served in a tulip. Bottled Jan 05 2023. Got it in a trade.
Pours very dark brown, almost black, with very little head. Smell is rich, medium roast coffee, chocolate-y, some anise. Strong aromas with a pleasant softness.
Taste is similar -- rich, lush, waves of chocolate, coffee, char, and anise.
Mouthfeel is on the heavy side of medium. Overall, very nice beer.

From a bomber bottled 12/27/22. Solid black color with a lacing of tan head. Roasted malt and chocolate smell. Medium body. Smooth roasted malt with a dry peppery hop finish. One of the better stouts I've had recently

Near jet black body with a thin tan head . Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Taste was the same. Mouthfeel was a bit thin for the style but not bad, along with medium carbonation. This is a good stout for the money.

12oz bottle from TX beer trade
Pours a dark oily black with a very aggressive head. Made a huge mess
Aroma is fairly mild. Didn't pick up anything that stood out
First taste is boozy, but not overwhelming. Subtle, sharp flavor unto itself. Coffee notes are mild and not too bitter.
Light sitting body, not a sipping stout in my opinion for how high the abv is.
Overall, I think this is a dangerously crushable stout!

Had this today and I don't recall it tasting so good in the past - this time it was in a 12 oz bottle. As someone mentioned it seems like they updated the recipe and it's delicious. Really close to Old Rasputin from North Coast brewing, which I think is at the top of this style. Grab one if you see it!

12oz bottle poured into a Teku glass.
Appearance is black with 2 fingers of off-white head. Retention is good leaving a third of an inch of head after about 6 minutes.
Smell is low in strength. It smells like semisweet chocolate, dark roasted coffee, and spicy hops.
Taste is medium-high in strength. The taste follows the aroma but with a bit more dark roasted coffee and more spicy hops. Bitterness is moderate. The flavor is fairly balanced.
Feel is somewhat above medium in thickness. It's creamy and a bit chewy. Carbonation is low. Astringency is a little below medium.
Overall, it's a very good and fairly easy to drink beer.

The ABV is hidden nicely and it hits like it’s more than advertised. Makes you want to burp in your mother-in-law's face and laugh. Pours to a 5/8” cocoa colored head, initial lacing is nice but dissipates quickly. Well balanced. I think they might have improved this compared to a few years ago. Comparable to Old Rasputin but at an incredible price point for this quality. Not the best in the world but you will not be disappointed, either.
