One of my favorite times of year is when the Marzen/Oktoberfest styles come out.

Real ale is known for some really exceptional beers. This one is a very nice red to golden tone with a nice long lived off-white head that settles slowly and leaves an adequate lacing down the glass.

The nose is a nicely done spiced hop with malty undertones that have that classic Oktoberfest character. There are hints of apples, raisins, bread and lime with a touch of grass and bready notes mixed in.

The taste is dryer than a typical Oktoberfest style and is very pleasant with a crisp clean flavor experience that fades to a nice somewhat bitter hop finish.

The mouthfeel is nice and rich as this style should be allowing you to fully experience the flavors.

Overall another extremely fine offering from Real Ale. I highly recommend it.

I saw some bad reviews. Is has a decent taste, but the carbonation is a little too sharp. Nice dark amber color with a little head. Overall a good beer

Serving: 12 oz bottle poured into a tulip pint glass.

Appearance: Clear, medium orange copper. Medium head recedes with little lacing.

Smell: Light and clean, toasted cereal.

Taste: Toasty malt body, some caramel, but not overly sweet. Drier finish some earthy and bitter hop hints.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body and carbonation

Overall: Light but balanced and drinkable.
