Had it from tap in a small snifter glass. Dark, rich brown color with a nice beige head and good lacing. Very fragrant with berries and white wine. The taste was of dark berries, cherries, with a slight boozey bitterness. Smooth and light. An enjoyable beer!

Nice bourbon barrel flavor. Very little porter smokiness. No foam shortly after pour. Very dark color.

Appearance- Black with one finger creamy tan head.

Aroma- Lots of boozy barrel aromas and chocolate sweetness.

Taste- Sweet boozy bourbon barrel flavors are very big up front so it won't disappoint in that department. After the barrel milk chocolate pops up, but it goes down hill from there with an odd tartness and an incredibly thin finish verging on watery.

Mouthfeel- Medium bodied at first but very thin in the finish. Low to medium carbonation.

Overall- The flavors from the barrel are big and flavorful, but the finish is way too thin and unpleasant. Add a thicker feel in the finish and this would be a great beer.

Not a big fan of the tartness, whether intentional or not.
