Appearance: Arrives as a midnight black liquid with an inch of foam that curtains the glass
Smell: Fudge, roasted coffee and bourbon
Taste: The fudge and roasted coffee deliver the first punch, with the bourbon rounding out the profile by mid-palate; after the swallow, other flavors such as coconut and graham cracker develop along with a sour element that adds an entirely different dimension; the slight sour flavor nicely complements the fudge, bourbon and vanilla in the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation; some warmth in the gullet from the ABV
Overall: I really like the barrel treatment as well as the hint of sour that sets this beer apart from others in the style

Had on tap a while ago at Black Sheep Lodge.
Pours cloudy brown, ivory head, light lacing, smell vanilla, sour apricot, sour cherry, tastes tart, sour fruits, nice rich malts, oak, full bodied, big carbo. I love it. Haven't had a phenomenal sour in a while and this is a great treat.
