Re-review with the old review left in place. The old one was when I had just gotten to this place and was new to the brewery. Now I'm a regular customer of theirs, RABC being not only great beer, but local, and frequently cheeper, tho every bit as good as any other craft brewery in America. Not changing any ratings, just refreshing the review.
Good looking brew, tannish orange and mostly clear with rising bubbles and a great 1.5 finger white fluffy head and good lacing.
Aroma is great! Crisp and spicy hops are very up front. Pepper and citrus, some earthy malts, and a little fruit.
Flavor is also quite good. Very hoppy for a pale ale, this could easily be an IPA from all the hops flavor, but it's not quite as bitter. Earthiness and peppery spices again make a showing, along with some citrus and a little biscuit malt.
Body is pretty rich and full for a pale ale, yet drinkability is maintained. An earthy hop bitterness finishes it off.
Overall this is a very likeable beer and I'm glad I took the chance and bought a whole sixer of it. I will now have to try more beers from this brewery!

Color- light gold.
Aroma- pineapple, pine cones, and new latex gloves.
Taste- Starts with a refreshing citrus then finishing with a dull dry bitterness as if the hops were stale. A disappointment from Real Ale in Blanco, Texas.
Tasted on 12/31/2012. Bottle had a "best by" date of 1/27/2013.

Best by 01.01.13. Whoops.
A: Clear amber pour. Good sized frothy, fluffy white head. Head fades at a moderate pace
S: Herbal hops with a bready malt. Get some onions in the aroma. Like onion rings. Hmph.
T: Again, herbal hops up front. Kinda spicy, interestingly enough. A little bit of pine and black pepper it seems? Dry, toasty bread for the malt. A little bit of that onion ring flavor on the back end.
M: Medium bodied and a touch dry.
O: A pretty interesting APA. This is way past its prime according to the bottle but honestly I didn't find it to be too bad. I imagine it was hoppier before but it doesn't have that signature "old hops" flavor that I was expecting. Just a mildly hoppy and drinkable APA instead. Not bad.
