The guy behind the counter is great. He is always willing to talk about beer, wine, and anything else. He really knows his stuff. Friendly, and they dont push any sale. Wine is great, the scotch selsction is limited, but other spirits are stocked well. Beer is good, not great, but good. They get Arrogant Bastard and Double Bastard by the case, and will sell them to you as such. The beer selection is not too deep. They have some good stuff. Their selection does not include rare, or hard to find items. They sell what sells. Period. Stone sells, so they carry a great selection of that. They have a little bit of Rouge, no Victory, a lot of Magic Hat, and a bit of Sam.

What a nice little package store located in a shopping plaza in Cohasset on RT 3A. Clean and well organized. There was one guy working when I visited. He was friendly and appeared to appreciate the business. The coolers are located in the back of the store. There is also a good selection of warm bombers, 6 packs, 4 packs, etc. directly behind you when you are facing the cooler.
Some highlights included Stone (Smoked Porter, Arrogant Bastard Ale, and IPA), Dogfish Head (60 Minute IPA, Chicory Stout and Indian Brown Ale) Brooklyn Brown Ale, Paper City (Winter Lager & Blonde Hop Monster Ale), Rogue (Dead Guy Ale, American Amber Ale and Morimoto Hazlenut Signature Series) Cisco Bay (Whale's Tale Pale Ale & Bailey's Ale) Unibroue, Magic Hat, Harpoon, and St. Sebastiaan.
This is one solid package store that might surprise you with their offerings. Makes a great 1-2 punch with Curtis Liquors right down the road.

Note: Under new management and new name (A Taste for Wine & Spirits) While CPL is not a mega-packie, they do stock a good selection of everyday, popular micro and craft brews, as well as the typical macro-swill carried by everyone else, plus just enough surprise entries to get you coming back on a weekly basis to see what's new. There's a wide variety of SA and the welcome US regulars, SN, Anchor, Liberty, Geary's, Shipyard, Harpoon, Tremont, Flying Dog, Long Trail and Magic Hat. The typical mega-Euros are joined by Hacker-Pschorr, Julius Echter, Warsteiner, Paulaner, and Spaten along with Pilsner Urquell, Fischer, Stella and the likes. Lately, CPL has added Stone, Victory, Allagash and Brooklyn, along with a few choice Belgians and Sinebrychoff Porter (YUM!). The good news, and the reason I've bothered to enter this smallish packie is because the managers are beer lovers who are willing to listen and they are in the process of expanding and growing their "quality" beer selections. Located in the same plaza as Super Stop & Shop, Papa Gino's and Blockbuster, CPL is conveniently placed for us one-stop shopping types. I might add that the new owner is stocking ever more highly-rated beers. A must see!
