A fantastic Dark Wheat. Clean, roasty, round, and surprisingly dry. Incredibly drinkable.

Cornstalker pours an almost blackish color, with no head, lots of bubbles. Rich sweet smell. Flavor is full of molasses, and creamy wheat, really fits together. Good body and feel. Overall, I really enjoyed this one, great flavors and feel.

A: Pours surprisingly dark--essentially opaque, showing a brown hue when held to the light. This is more like what I might expect from a stout. Creamy, sandy brown head with decent retention.
S + T: The hallmark banana scent is present, though I feel like I detect a coffee aroma, as well. A little bit of a sweet, bubblegum like follow through. It's somewhat confusing with each smell. The taste makes more sense with the banana and bubblegum tastes like other wheat beers, along with a little bit of roastiness.
M + O: Medium bodied, and maybe just a tad more carbonation than necessary. It leaves a bit of residual flavour on the finish that is a little bitter. A decent offering.

Black beer with a light brown colored head. Smell of dark chocolate maybe a bit of coffee. Flavor has mildly spicy, malty, Irish cream, chocolaty taste. Might sound strange, but the aftertaste reminds me a little of eggnog. Mouthfeel is creamy and soothing.

I didn't check the date on the can before it was tossed, but I don't think it was very old.
Nearly black body with tiny chestnut highlights, pretty clear compared to very opaque pints I've had in the past. Finger of tan head, some lacing around the weizen glass which seems to help the head stay longer.
Mostly roasty aroma with some malted corn. Faint fresh bread and toasted wheat bread, a pinch of pumpernickel. No alcohol nor a big German yeast character as per the American style.
Flavor is similar to the aroma with a little caramel sweetness, chocolate, and a dry finish. Very light bitterness at the end.
Surprisingly crisp and dry with a little chew or fluff to it in the middle. Very drinkable.
While not mind-blowing, it's a very good American Dark Wheat. Good in the winter, good in the summer, just good all around.

L: Surprisingly dark envisioned more transparency. Looks like a porter
S: Not all that much some roasted malt and faint corn.
T: Tastes like an average porter to me. I really didn't expect so much roast. I really dont care for strange corn taste coming thru.
F: Nothing special on the full side.
O: Average if you dont mind the weird corn/adjunct taste in the background it ruins it for me so I am glad I got a sample pack.

Drank straight from the can; no visual cues.
Corn & malt in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
In the flavor, corn & malt with a faint whiff of toffee. Not very interesting.

Poured from a 12oz can into a lager glass. L: black opaque. That was a surprise. Head was weak and faded nearly instantly. Zero lace. S: roasted grains. T: coffee. F: fairly thin. A bit of carbonation. O: a nice easy drinking dark beer.
