On a recent trip into Cleavland stopped at Rozi's. A nice wine shop that sells beer or was it vice versa? Anyhow, shopping about the store with a beer in hand. Yes you can buy a growler or a glass of what ever is on the growler station. It was immediately evident the owners and staff are beer guys. Very knowledgeable about beer and the stock available. The staff very attentive to the customers and able to make many suggestions based off of what I was looking for. Nice cross section of breweries and styles of beer available. I picked up a couple bottles of Bar Bar and found a few bottles of Madame Rose. Was very happy to snatch those up. I didn't try the food but found the shop to be good value if you are in Lake Wood.

When I visited: May 2012.

What I had: Smuttynose Finest Kind IPA (draught), Chicken Salad Sandwich & Chips, sandwich and ginger ale for my better half.

What I bought: Founders Double Trouble, Samuel Adams Dark Depths Baltic Porter, Ballast Point Big Eye IPA, Victory, Stone and Dogfish Head Saison du Buff.

What I liked: Respectable bottle selection, attractive wooden interior (looks recently renovated), pleasant covered patio overlooking the street scape, competent and efficient staff, decent prices, tasty no frills food.

What I disliked: Must have missed something - like another room that I wasn’t aware of? - as the selection was tiny compared to most other U.S. beer stores that I’ve been to. Seemed like the stock was running thin as there were several empty spaces on the shelves. Still, I was very happy with the beers that I purchased (especially the Big Eye).

Would I go back? Yes.

This was my 2nd visit to Rozi's. (First time was just a few days prior, to pick up a growler of Plead the 5th.) It was on May 12th.

My buddy and I both made about $20 in purchases and if we hadn't had more stops, I probably would have spent at least double.

The selection isn't the best I've ever seen, but is still really good. It's not worth the drive just for it (because there are so many places in Lakewood, let alone the greater Cleveland area), but you could be content just visiting Rozi's, I'm sure.

I love some of the special things they get on draft and for that reason alone, let alone their selection, I will be looking to hit the store again sometime this summer.

My son and I visited the Saturday before Easter, with indefinite plans at the in-laws. Turns out we had more time than anticipated, so we got to kill some time at Rozi's. And I am glad we did - a fun shop well worth a lengthy visit.

This is a cool-looking place with really nice ambiance. Wood floors, and a cool corner location in Lakewood.

They serve beer here! I had a great TBK White Rajah and a Diabolical IPA as I shopped. Both were fresh and delicious.

While the space in this shop is distorted to wine, there is a ton of stuff here for craftbeer fans. Great selection.

There is a limited supply of homebrew stuff here. I bought a few things, but I've heard that turn here can be a little slow, and I wouldn't consider it a 1-stop-shop.

I took more of Cory and Brian's time than I had a right to, although to be fair I was trying to generate some ideas to help Cory get more homebrewer traffic.

It's retail pricing here; nothing's really on discount, but I wouldn't say it is out of line with other retail stores in Ohio.

All-in-all, I really enjoyed visiting and would recommend to others!

Stopped by with a few local BA'ers on our way to the BA Blackout release at GLBC.

A bit unassuming from the outside "35th best wine store in the world". Definitely wine-centric as you enter across the creeky old hardwood floors.

Most of the beer is located to the left of the main entrance, with a variety of shelves, coolers, and tables. Doesnt seem to be much organization here but its kind of fun to walk around and take a few trips down the same aisle to see if you missed anything. Good selection of 4 and 6-packs, with very reasonable prices. Single bottle selection was overall good, with some hit-or-miss prices. I did find a small stash of GI Sofie (love it) in one far corner of a cooler, for $8 I bought two. Good amount of regional OH brewies which we do not get.

The few employees we did encounter asked us for helping finding anything, and were very prompt, courteous, and friendly during checkout.

I'd probably stop by if in the area again, knowing I wont find anything to blow my socks off but good for a few randoms I wont see anywhere else. Decent place.

OK...this is more like it! I accidentally went to the Rocky River location earlier and was disappointed...this is the Rozi's I researched and read about.

I entered from the side street, so I had to go up a set of stairs to get into the store. Good choice...it put me right in the beer section! First off, you can tell this is a wine centric place...lots and lots of wine to choose from.

The beer is located in the back right (or front left in my case) of the store. They have a few shelves creating pseudo isle and coolers lining the wall. The selection is pretty good...lots of local and domestic craft offerings...available in six packs and bigger bottles. They have a smaller selection of imports also. Everything is clearly priced.

The staff was helpful and very friendly. The place was clean and neatly organized. If I were local, this would be a monthly stop. If you go to the Buckeye Beer Engine, Rozi's is almost right down the street...check it out too!!

Stopped in this place while in Cleveland the other day--very nice store. It's big and bright and clean, which is a refreshing change from some beer stores. Definitely very good service, the guys there seem to be great guys. They have email lists and are willing to talk to you about beer, so I'd say that's pretty good as far as service goes.

The selection is pretty good, they seem to have a lot of good beer, though I'm not convinced that it's the best selection possible. You can tell that this place is really a wine-centered store. Some good Belgians (labeled "Belgium Beer"), some good craft selections, but not the overpowering selection that is available at Belmont Party Supply in Dayton. They had fresh bottles of Squall IPA, which was a treat for me when I walked in. Pricing is reasonable, I would definitely return.

They also have a ton of home-brewing supplies if that's your thing.

One of my go-to stores. Where I feel that this place really shines is in customer service. Corey, Bill, and Gary are always willing to help you.

Quality: If it's new and of good quality, chances are that Rozi's has it. They cover all styles and have the highest rated beers available in those styles (obviously with the exception of those not available in Ohio). They've also had tastings where limited release beers have been brought in growlers. During Cleveland Beer Week last year, they had a big tasting where a growler of BA Blackout was featured. I was at the Fat Head's IPA Fest, so I missed out. Either way, I thought that was pretty cool. They also had a tasting with a rep from Founders that week, and draft-only selections were featured.

Service: I find the service to be outstanding here. They respond to e-mail questions, and are just generally friendly as you look around. I also enjoy how they're not overbearing if you say you do not need help. On the other side of the spectrum, they are not condescending, as some beer store owners tend to be (at least in my experiences). Once they get to know you, there's usually some laughs to be had with Corey.

Selection: When it comes to special release bombers and 25.4 oz bottles, it's tough to beat Rozi's. If it's limited and Cleveland is going to get it, they'll have it (if only for a limited time). Whether it's Pumking, KBS, Nemesis, or other limited releases, they'll have it.

Value: In Ohio, I've fortunately never found too many differences in prices. Rozi's is on par with other stores and they certainly do not mark anything up.

I became a customer of Rozi's when I got into craft beer, and I plan to be a customer for a long time. Along with Friendly Mini-Mart just down the road, this is my favorite beer store. In the case of beer, it's OK to have two favorites.

This is primarily a wine shop, some beermaking supplies, and a beer selection comprised on nothing but quality product. It took a while to search through it all, very good selection indicative of the best available through OH distribution, some of which (Ithaca bombers) I've only seen in a select few stores so far. There was a very helpful sales guy, he knew when the next special releases were coming in (Founders Nemesis for example). He even recommended that they could ship it to me, very helpful. Excellent, I trust the previous reviews. Reasonable prices, for example I bought Cantillon Pissenlit for $13.99 and Zoetzuur Flemish Ale for $12.99.

This place treats its beer just as well as its wine. They do not have a huge beer section, but they only stock quality beers. Only craft, quality imports, and a fair selection of local offerings. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

They also stock quite a bit of home brewing supplies.

Rozi's has added taps for growler fills, or in store pours. They have also added a front patio area to sit enjoy your wine or beer.

Rozi's is my go-to store. The beer is fresh, and the staff are friendly.
