I've been to other Yard House's and have enjoyed my experience at each. Now that I'm more into Belgian and other brews typically not available on tap, the fact that YH apparenlty has the most on tap anywhere doesn't necessarily blow me away like it used to. That basically sums up my experience at the San Diego location. Nice, clean and attractive atmoshere. The obligatory curved-rectangualar bar with the multitude of taps in the center. Maybe it's the uniform appearance and lack of warmth of these places that detract from the experience. It's not "homie" like one expects in a quality beer bar. Anyway, a helpful and friendly young guy behind the bar made a few suggestions to my business associate. I had a Stone Arrogant Bastard to start. We only hung around for one more round. Good location as it was only a few blocks from the hotel. Again, I won't even bother talking about selection since it's obviously incredible. Many California brews and a few I can't get here in the northeast. Nice atmosphere. Close proximity to the Gaslight District. Worth a visit but not the ideal beer bar in my humble opinion.
