Just went on tap today. Was told this version was made with 100 lbs of "Winter Luxury" variety pumpkin from the South Bay area plus lots of toasted pumpkin seeds.
A: Pours dark brown with crimson edges under a quarter inch tannish/orange head which fades to leave a few spots of lace.
N: Allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon - the usual suspects. Some faint nutty and roast.
T: Just plain pumpkin spices with that generic flavor.
M: Medium body and semi-moderat carbonation. A bit thin overall. Lingering spices on the finish.
O: Well, it's a pumpkin beer. At least the fog rolling down Haight made it feel like it was finally fall.

Served on-draught into a 13 oz glass at the Magnolia Pub. Reviewed from notes.
A: No real head. Colour is a clear gold.
Sm: Light barley. That's it. No pumpkin or spice. This is shaping up to be disappointingly bland.
T: Light spices over top a barley foundation, with light hints of pumpkin. Simple but balanced. Built decently but in a boring fashion.
Mf: Smooth and wet, suiting the flavour generally. Should be crisp.
Dr: Drinkable but boring. Very little pumpkin for a so called pumpkin beer. The ABV is very well hidden.
