We came here as a group of 7 late on a Saturday evening. We got a table pretty quickly, but I would certainly expect to wait if something was going on at the arena. Looks like a typical Irish Pub, a large bar with woodwork, high ceilings. A couple televisions scattered about. Our server was very friendly and efficient. Our service was very good. The tap list seemed to be the typical fare, Guinness, Bass, Harp, Smithwicks, etc. The best draft was the special of GLBC Burning River. The bottle of the month was GLBC Commodore Perry. A few decent bottles, but nothing to go out of the way for. All of us enjoyed the food, and I will say that the fish and chips were outstanding. Prices were a bit high, but this is the arena district. Overall a good place, just don't expect to find any rare beers.

This place is nicely decorated with high ceilings, good use of color and traditional Irish decor. I liked the huge windows and use of stained glass. They have succeeded in giving a new building some "age & character".

As you walk in you will see the curved bar that seats about 25.

They offer 32 bottles/cans about 8 are decent. Highlights include both Murphys and Beamish stout in nitro cans, 4 bottles from Great Lakes, SN Pale ale, Hoegarten and PU.

12 taps. Besides the usual Smithwicks, Guinness & Harp, plus they offer Great Lakes ESB and Magic Hat 9 and Circus Boy.

Friendly efficient bar staff. I liked that they would give samples of the Magic Hat beers.

Tunes were a mix of Irish and Motown. Works for me!

Note the darts area off to your right as you enter. Large and clean bathrooms.

It may be a bit generic, but I still enjoyed it. Makes a nice combo with Gordon Bierch.

While in Columbus, came here for a beer and a bite to eat. Located in the Arena District, just steps away from the front door of the Nationwide Area. Nice looking Irish style pub, large bar and restaurant area.
Not a huge selection of beers, but good enough, (typical Guinness, Harp, Stella) plus their house porter and a Great Lakes Seasonal - I had the Christmas Ale.
The food is slightly above average pub fare, but I stuck with the fish-n-chips.
Good enough place to visit, but there are lots of other places close, so probably won't be back. Overall, a bit pricey, but no real complaints.

I visited O'Shaughnessy's on a Friday night.

Atmosphere: got here around 9 pm and there was a decent sized crowd in the bar; there's some dart boards here, a very nice looking bar with about 25 taps; music was at a good volume; about 930 or so the hockey game let out next door at the arena (unfortunately a blue jackets loss) and a good crowd of people came in sporting their blue jackets apparel; i thoroughly enjoyed the after-game atmosphere here; it's something columbus has lacked for so long and we finally have some of that big league big city charm
Quality: impressive; the beers tasted great (I had a black and tan and a bass)
Service: very impressive for the crowd size after the game let out; i didn't have to wait long at all for a beer
Selection: large, mostly beers from the U.K.;
Value: $5 for a beer seemed a little high, but I guess that's what you get in downtown by the arena

Overall, I like O'Shaughnessy's a lot; a very impressive irish pub with the great downtown atmosphere

Located within walking distance from the hockey center this is a decent place to grab a pint with friends and meet some new ones. Very nice on the inside but a tad small without the patio. Great looking bar, floor, and accessories for an American version of an Irish pub. I suppose having Smythwick's on tap is becoming more and more the norm but the wife likes the option and I don't mind either. The bartender was very friendly and knew what she was talking about when we got into a discussion of some of the Great Lakes selections she had, one on tap and Elliot Ness bottled. She even knew more about GLBC than 90% of the bartenders I talked to around town which was impressive. The crowd was very friendly and no one seemed to be overly hyped or excitable. The tap selection is generous for the area and crowd catered to but nothing extreme. Go and have a pint or two, it's a cool place.

Nicely designed pub atmosphere in the Arena District and just off the hockey arena. The decor is very nicely Irich and comfy. The beers are standard imported Irish ranging from Guinness to Murphy's. Friendy and helpful staff. The sandwich menu is moderate to pricey; with somewhat reasonable entrees filling out the offerings. Though nice I think I'd slip around the corner to Gordon Biersch unless I just had a craving for heavy wood paneling and leaded glass.

As is usually the case in the Arena District, places seem more geared for the hockey crowd and thereby charge the prices for food you get cheaper at better places in the nearby Short North area. The food here isn't bad, just way to pricey and the beer is the standard you would expect to find at a place promoting itself as an Irish pub.

Named after Jerry O'Shaughnessy, this Pub attracts the typical Arena District crowd. A bunch of "trendy" people sipping Bud Lights and pretending they are in Ireland. Parking consists of nearby garages and lots, as well as some metered.

The inside is very large, and they do a fairly good job capturing the Irish atmosphere. O'Shaughnessy's, like many other Irish pubs (Brazenhead or Fado) seem to think it is necessary to build the bar in Ireland and ship it over here, then pass the costs to the customers. I guess it is worth it for an authentic atmosphere.

If you are coming here for beer, order a Guinness or the house Porter (which is contract brewed by Columbus Brewing Company). The rest of the beer selection is not that impressive, standard Irigh pub fare.

The food is better than average but not really worth the high price. The fish-n-chips was pretty good but my Guinness BBQ Chicken was a little dry. The "Dam Good Fish & Chips" is nowhere near as good as at Old Bag of Nails. If you are a fan of corned beef hash, I have heard it is tops here.

While not a must-stop location, you can get a decent one-two punch between O'Shaughnessy's and Gordon Biersch which is a short walk away. Both are worth a look if you are in the Arena District.
