Pours a cloudy orange with a finger ' s worth of foam, slowly receding foam.

I smell some bread, a bit of sweet malt that also has honey like qualities.

Bread is up front but gives way to sweet and yes, I get honey in the taste as well.

Medium is the word to describe the body and carbonation.

Well, this is quite the tasty treat, easy drinking cuz the alcohol is held in check nicely. I can recommend it.

Edit: by the time I finished the bottle, it occurred to me that my rating was wholly underestimated. This is truly an amazing Triple.

La Rulles Triple has a thin, white head, an opaque, brilliant orange appearance, and rather large brown specks, suspended throughout. Lacing is minimal. The aroma is of candy sugar, white bread, light fruits, and pungent yeast. Taste is of those elements with some building, background bitterness, sour dough bread, and even tomato juice elements. Mouthfeel is medium and prickly, and La Rulles Triple finishes wet and quite drinkable. Not alcohol detected in the sipping.

Cloudy orange pour, finger and a half of white head, almost creamy, recedes to a very sticky lace in a minute.
Smell of yellow apple, banana chips, candi sugar, apricot, sweet bread, clove, faint vanilla, lots of caramel and some warm alcohol is announced.
Taste doesn't start sweet, but with a refreshing sour citrus zing (lemon, orange) and a minty herbal note (coriander up front, faint sage). Goes into some malty sweetness, lots of caramel and a thick bready feel, some cream, with some specific tripel fruittiness hidden in there (apple, pear, banana, apricot) and honey. A tartness hidden in there too, that's a nice plus. Herbs intensify with earthy yeasts and spices like peppercorn, some anise, dry hay, even more towards the finish, with a funky woody taste (something like green twigs, tree bark, sawdust??). Spicy hop finish with some flower petal notes and a nice bitterness, all going well with the funky note mentioned before.
Medium body, medium carbonation. Spiced up aftertaste, also some hops, some lactic sourness aftermath, a bit of lingering sugars. Alcohol remains subtle.
A very complex tripel, tho the spicy yeasts tend to steal the show from time to time. A lot going on, with the balance shifting more and more as you drink it. Great stuff.
