Pours a clear amber with a thin and creamy off-white head that leaves sheets of lace down the glass.
The aroma is toffee and biscuit with spice and a hint of lemon.
The taste is bracingly bitter followed by some medium sweetness and juiciness with a finishing bitter kick.
Mouthfeel is medium and a bit sticky.
Enjoyed this take on an English IPA.

Had on tap at the Pig & Fiddle L: Pours gold with a light copper tint, 1” foam cap, has a bit of haze. S: Spicy light fruit and biscuit with a trace of earthiness. T: Fruit and spice sweetened by caramel. F: Medium to medium light body and medium carbonation. O: this is an easy drinking beer with a real British character.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tall Summit pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a deep amber orange with a lot of rising bubbles. About two fingers of off white head with decent retention. Leaves a lot of creamy lacing.

Smell: An earthy and toasty balanced English style aroma with a nice mix of spicy hops and malt. Earthy and floral hops with hints of grass, pine, and spice. Light citrus hints of lemon and orange. Toasted malt with bready hints of biscuit, caramel, cracker, and yeast. A pretty solid balanced aroma.

Taste: Like the aroma hints at, a well balanced mix of earthy and floral hops with sweet caramel malt. Floral and earthy hops with some notes of grass and pine along with a little spice. Subtle citrus hop notes of lemon zest and orange. Bready toasted malt with notes of biscuit, sweet caramel, yeast, and cracker. A nice balanced English taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Nicely creamy and smooth with a fairly drying finish.

Overall: A pretty solid take on an English style IPA. Good balance of spicy hops and sweet malt.

Pours a clear amber color with two fingers of head that had good retention before settling to a thick cap. Heavy lacing is left down the glass.

Summit uses Northern Brewer, East Kent Golding, Target, and Fuggle hops but yet it does not have the English hop aroma that I adore. There are floral, herbal, and earth notes but nothing really stands out. I would of preferred mostly East Kent Golding. Still quite malt driven as was the old Summit IPA.

Summit upped the hop levels but I have a hard time distinguishing a specific hop flavor. Nothing really stands out. Slightly medicinal, floral, and herbal flavor. Malt is definitely drier than the old IPA with more of a bready touch. A definite bitterness increase. Slight fruit yeast esters but tastes very clean for an English style ale.

Medium body with great carbonation. Enough carbonation for life but still lets a smooth texture develop.

Not necessarily better than the old IPA. The hops just did not come through for me. But at least now people should know what they are getting when they grab one of these bottles.

Look; Pours a brassy yellow w a decent head
Smell: Little aroma-I pick up a hint of the orange another rater mentioned
Taste: meh !
Feel: To me this is missing the roundness I am familiar w from true British IPAs
Overall: I was expecting better. I think that their Saga is a much better beer even tho a different style.
