On-tap at a bar in St Louis
A- A nice copper bronze color, sort of like the color you see on those new Ford SUV's. Its the best comparison I can make. Great head retention.
S- Great aroma, lots of dry hopping, particularly for a pale ale.
T- Malt is a restrained biscuit malt, nicely balanced by a sweet and bitter hop note. A bit in the west coast style, compared to the old world. Finish is refreshingly swet and wet.
M- Average body, with good carbonation. Crisp and refreshing.
O- A great pale that takes a taste excursion and keeps the ABV in check.

On tap Ashland, Ky. Poured into a standard Pint glass.
A - light haze in a golden body with a bright orange hue. Nice off white head fades to a splotchy ring of lace leaving nice stick.
S - grapefruit hop whiffs followed by citrusy orange and fresh lemon. Biscuity bread like malt and yeast. Fresh grass and a floral back end.
T - bigger orange and lemon than the nose would suggest paired with an equal amount of grapefruit notes. Caramel and biscuit malt balance Summit's pale ale quite nicely. Finish has a floral character to it and a mild bitterness.
M - medium bodied with good texture. Easy to drink. Great for the warm months approaching.
O - very nice pale ale. Nothing spectacular but a great brew nonetheless. Shame we don't get bottles here in Ky. A bottle of this stuff would probably add a few overall points. For me anyway. Tasty pale ale.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 3/22/2014. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a small cap that lasts. Spotty foamy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of orange zest, grapefruit, lemon zest, pear, apple, floral, grass, toast, biscuit, light caramel, and floral/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with balanced malt and hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange zest, pear, apple, floral, grass, toast, biscuit, light caramel, and floral earthiness. Light earthy floral bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon/orange zest, pear, apple, toast, biscuit, light caramel, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and complexity of citrus/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy, smooth, and moderately crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice English pale ale. Good balance and complexity of malt and hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
