WOW.
I have written off Summit epa for year's. It would sometimes taste great and other times it was just average if even that. I recently tried it again and was very impressed to say the least.

The aroma is of a grapefruity and rich blend of foreign and domestic hop's, and a lush caramel maltiness that almost makes you salavate.

The mouthfeel has a near perfect balance of carbonation and softness. Yes it actually has both !!!

The taste starts out hoppy and almost tea like, you then get the smooth and delicious toasty and caramely malts only to go back to a lingering mix of grapefruity hops and caramel malt to coat you're mouth with. Thick and resinous !!!

I am so glad I gave it another chance. I feel like I have been missing out on this one. I could swear this beer has been tweaked a little. I never remembered it being this good.

An excellent example of a perfectly balanced Pale Ale. As another fellow beer advocate wrote, no two flavors overide each other. The hop's and malt's are in perfect harmony.

Poured into a pint glass.
Dark brown color, bit of head. Smells like hops and malt.
Tastes like a pale ale with a bit more caramel than usual. Bitter finish. Lingers a bit.
Different than the pale ales I'm used to. Could use more hops.
Decent enough I guess.

Drank straight from the 12oz bottle. medium head that lingered with a 1/2-finger thickness. A light caramel/amber color. Smell was sweet, with light citrus, and hoppy. Taste had a brief sweetness followed by a bitter citrus and strong hops that lingered for a long aftertaste. The beer was light and easy to drink. I'm not a big fan of pale ales, but would definitely consider this again.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a pint glass.

A nice pale amber with a one-finger head and lingering lace all down the glass.

The aroma is biscuit and citrus with a hint of dank hops.

The taste is quite nicely balanced with sweet malt followed by a hit of citrus and then a lingering bitter.

Mouthfeel seems about standard for a pale ale.

Overall, a very balanced, easy drinking and well crafted brew. Well done.
