Dark and deep this black stout shows no hue. The thick head comes out with a ten hint and two fingers thick. A solid ring of laces, before you take a sip you know your in for a decent beer.
The nitro-tap scents take over the head, but once the head breaks up this beer opens up. Roasted malts and a hint of oat.
A smooth roasted flavor. It has all the characteristics of a classic stout. It's really nothing special, but it's very smooth.
A full feeling that you quickly realize is really smooth. The nitro is working its magic, and this goes down smoother than silk.
A great season stout with an amazing smoothness and everything you expect from an oatmeal stout.

On tap poured into a pint glass
A - Extremely beautiful dark brown, nearly black hue. Nitro tap makes the carbonation appear so much nicer. Masterful appearance!
S - Huge roasted notes with milk chocolate, oatmeal and slight coffee all welcome the nose.
T - Very complex for such a small ABV beer. Huge flavors of oatmeal and chocolate hit up front with a slight coffee bitterness near the end.
M - Perfect. So delectably creamy and smooth. Couldn't ask for any better in this category.
O - I was wow'd by this beer when I saw it on tap. I went in not expecting much but what I got was one of the best oatmeal stouts I have ever had!

Poured into imperial pint.
A Black as night (as it should be). Thick creamy tan head. Fat lacing follows to bottom.
S. Strong black coffee. Chocolate. Roasted malts. Subtle hint of lemon. Black pepper. Awesome smell!
T. Mimics the smell. Coffee and chocolate are very forward with a piney bitterness that follows. Spicy lingering aftertaste.
M. Full. Chewy. Sticks to the roof of your mouth but finishes clean.
O. This has been one of my favorites for a while. Proof that stout doesn't need 8 plus ABV or to be barreled to be great. The richness of the coffee and sweets balances perfectly with the bitterness. Zesty aftertaste stays with you. One Summit's greats.
