On cask at Black Dog Smoke & Ale House in Urbana, IL

A: Pours a dark brown/nearly black color. A two finger tan head forms with excellent retention and sticky lace all the way down the glass.
S: Subtle, but very nice. Light roasted malt, well more toasted. Chocolate, coffee, baked bread. A very welcoming nose.
T: Like the nose, subtle but I really enjoy it. Roasted/toasted malt. Coffee, chocolate, and oats are great. Baked bread. A lingering light bakers chocolate bitterness.
M/D: A medium to full body. Perfectly carbonated. So smooth, velvety and creamy. So easy and enjoyable to drink. Easily all day with this on cask.

This is a real treat on cask. I have had it via nitro, and that is like every other nitro beer I have ever had. Meaning it kills all nuance and body. On cask this is very nice, and a perfect example of why nitro should be abolished. Not even the same beer. Highly recommended on cask.
