This one pours a lovely dark amber-I could look at this brew all day! Fairly good head retention, nice lacing all the way down the glass. Malty sweet smell. The taste is pretty low key compared to other IPAs. It has a nice caramel flavor, with a pleasently bitter finish. There's maybe a little wood (oak?) there. I would have no problem downing a few of these in one sitting.

I don't quite know if this is an IPA-it seems more like a bitter. Then again, what do I know. This is a darn good beer, no matter what style it falls under.

Scored a six pack of this when I was living in Wisconsin. Pours a dark golden color, almost a full inch of white head on the top of it. Aroma was midwestern grain, and only a smattering of what may be noble hops.

Taste, kinda malty, not overly hoppy, not exactly that earthy presence of English ipas, the malt finish is more American and dry. A little bit of soapy bitterness to it. 40ibu? Its a decent ipa, but don't fall over yourself to get it was what I used to say about this beer.

From tasting notes. A brilliant copper amber pour produces a finely bubbled 1” clingy white foam collar. Malt and hops on the nose and the palate are well balanced. Medium body and carbonation. I am drinking this at a Thai restaurant and the beer cuts the Thai sauce and lifts the spicy sauce right off your palate. It is a perfect match.
