A - Deep strawberry red, but darker. Like strawberry pancake syrup. The head is small, but spreads sticky lace around the glass, and shows some staying power.
S - Maple syrup and milk chocolate. Secondary notes of Northwestern hops spring out of the glass. I got this sixer at a very reduced price at local gourmet foods shop, and I have a feeling that the hops would be the star of the show if this bottle didn't have quite a bit of age on it.
T - Hops are actually more forward in the flavors than the nose would suggest. Big leafy hop notes are well balanced with caramel and maple syrup malts. Fruity mango and starfruit add some interesting little accents. The more this warms and the longer I sip, the more hop-tastic this one becomes. Nice!
M - Medium bodied, well constructed, and very solid and firm on the palate. All the signs of a well brewed beer are present. Would make a great burger or sandwich beer. A reuben sounds pretty damn good right about now.
D - I always find a good red/amber ale to be a good choice for a night of sessioning, and this one is a prime candidate especially since I found this six pack of fine craft brew for FOUR BUCKS and some change at a little mom and pop store. I may very well head back there tomorrow and buy the three or four other sixers they had on the little display a the end of an aisle of cheese.

Red Ale pours a dark reddish color, with a nice lacing head. There is a nice sharp malty aroma, with good hop notes. Taste is the same, good bold malty backbone, with a nice noticeable sharp bite near the end. Nice feel, and a nice carbonation feel. Overall its a nice flavorful red.
