On-tap at Ale+Witch. Strangely, I am the first to review this on-tap, all the way down in Florida. Anyhow, the brew pours a brassy golden-orange hue, is capped with some off-white froth, and leaves a smattering of lace as the glass drains; typical (good) appearance. The nose and flavor offer a big dose of candied tangerine and lemon atop a sugar cookie-esque malt. The brew is reminiscent of NGs Moon Man or FFF's Gumballhead in terms of hop profile, though it does not have the catty-ness of the former, nor the sweet and toothy body of the latter. Nevertheless, this is a nice representation of the Midwest PA/IPA as typified by the aforementioned brews as well as Daisy Cutter; it can hang with them all. Overall, I am impressed, and this is definitely the best Summit beer I've had.

12oz bottle into Summit Oatmeal Stout glass (review from notes 11/11)
Look is like most IPA's: a slightly red hued orange-gold. Smell is fruity, piney hops with a warm malt background. Taste is great, this is their best IPA yet: bitter piney hops dominate with a semi-sweet caramel malt background. Feel is well carbonated, medium, and crispy.
Good representation of the style. Does nothing new but does it well.
