Grimmy gold hue capped well with a dusty white foam building to about a finger high in height. Keeps a solid skim always present and tons of very thick patchy moth-holed sheets of lace.
Aroma is a mix of some of the big C's of hops; Cascade, Citra, and Centennial all seem to be in there doing their thing with a meld of citrusy pep along with some resinous qualities. Some dulled woodish dry hops are noted as well as lightly toasted maltyness. Dry, hoppy, and quite West Coast rendered.
Taste is solid with a nice complex hoppyness that tips the tongue with a well-checked white grapefruit bitterness and squeezed in pale malt and light biscuity dryness. Crisply set, yet, firm with a good tone of sweet malt background keeping those busy buzzing hops in check. Nice finisher with a nice twinge of hoppy resin, citrusy bitterness, and little floral graprefuity burps.
Firm medium body with a nice touch of sweet malt underneath while hops stir the tasting pot with remarkably well-rounded citrusy dryness and bittering bite.
A solid hoppy ale for Summit to have finally created, and just in time to celebrate 25 years going strong. Congrats! Keep these new brews coming!

12oz bottle into Summit Oatmeal Stout glass (review from notes 11/11)
Look is like most IPA's: a slightly red hued orange-gold. Smell is fruity, piney hops with a warm malt background. Taste is great, this is their best IPA yet: bitter piney hops dominate with a semi-sweet caramel malt background. Feel is well carbonated, medium, and crispy.
Good representation of the style. Does nothing new but does it well.
